...I held 5 jobs this past year (I have 5 W2's)...do I add all and put grand total on 1 1040EZ?...at least 2 of these w2's have no amount in the federal income tax with-held section...I also have a joint savings account with interest on it (where does it come into play when filing taxes)?...The person I have the account w/ said I need to record it on my taxes...
...Also I claimed 0 for dependants, but was recently told 2 different stories, 1). I should put 1 to calim myself and 2). I am automaticaly claimed as my own dependent...what's true?...last year filing taxes was easy, the lady at H&R Block looked at my 1 W2 and told me where to put the amount and where to put zero's b/c she wasn't going to do them for me b/c my refund wasn't that big and she would have to take a lot of $$ from the already small refund for doing them...2 of my W2's have taxes of around $1000.00, should I just pay the nearly $200.00 to get them done professionaly or can someone PLEASE inform me what to do??

You need to report the total for all the income on the W2's. You also need to report all income from interest (1099). You will then report all taxes that were withheld.

On a W4 you are allowed 2 allowances if you are single. There is a worksheet at the top of the form that explains it all. When you actually files your taxes you will indicate 1 exemption for yourself and no dependents. Allowances and exemptions are not exactly the same thing.

Your taxes are too simple to have to pay someone to do it. Find a friend or neighbor. It should take no more than a few minutes.

Yes, you add up the amounts on all the W-2's, and enter the total onto the 1040EZ just like they were all on one W-2 - the total of all the box-1's goes on line 1, and the total of all the box-2's goes on line 7. For the W-2's that don't have an amount in the federal income tax withheld box, that's saying nothing was withheld at those jobs.

Your total interest goes on line 2.

If you are not a dependent of anyone, then do NOT check the boxes on line 5, and put $8450 on line 5 at the right where the numbers go. I'm assuming you are single. The 8450 includes the amount ($3300) for your exemption for yourself.

The H&R lady last year really cut you a break. No, you shouldn't have to pay to get these done this year - you can do them yourself. Or if you're nervous about that, and if your total income was less than around $40,000, look for a VITA site in your area, they'll do your taxes for you and won't charge you anything. To get more info on VITA, go to irs.gov and type VITA in the search box.

On the 1040EZ you add up the W2s and put the total income on line 1. The interest goes on line 2 (of course, since it is a joint account it only goes on one return; only one owner has to pay the tax on the income). There is no place to claim dependents on 1040EZ.

Assuming you are talking about claiming dependents on your W4, the 1 on line A is you. Dependents are children or sometimes other people you support. If there are none, you put 0 on line D.

You can go to the IRS website and probable qualify to do them online for free. I was able to H&R Block tax cut, it is almost fool proof. Here is a link if you want to check it out. http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html

Yes, you add them all together.

Any interest on the savings account will also have to be reported.
