How does one go about getting a Merchant ID for a computer repair store? are online store merchant IDs the same as a store you might see while driving around or at the mall? who is in charge of this? im in Minnesota. Thanks for your help!!

I've tried Inventhelp (the one with the cave man carving a wheel) and Davison on past ideas. But they charge a lot for a bunch of extra crap that I don't want. I just want a basic patent search, and a PHYSICAL PROTOTYPE that actually works. I know it's a tall order, but how do I know I can trust some individual or company? How do ideas get developed?

I am a wedding photographer and one of my clients is now in breech of contract for nonpayment. I have no use for her pictures and would prefer to have my $$. In my contract I financed interest free for 4 months with payment due before wedding. Bride had sob story and I extended for two month. STILL no money two month later. I am now sending her a Consumer Loan Agreement with interest. I have never done this and can not figure what the payments plus interest will be. HELP!

The principle is $1318.07. The interest is 19.99% and there will be three payments starting Sept 30, Oct 15 and Oct 30.

Any sharp financial types out there able to help a photographer out?

can an employer refuse to grant you a decrease in hours worked if you need the time outside of work? And can the employer refuse to give you less hours unless you prove that the decrease in hourse is needed? I am a new target employee at a target store that is opening in October, but we have been doing a lot of preparing for the opening and I don't want all the hours they are having me work. When I first applied to target no one told me I had to work a certain number of hours. So I was just wondering if my employer can, in fact, refuse to decrease my hours? And if it is legal for them to require me to tell them why exactly I want the time off? For instance, if I was going to college or joining another program would I need to provide proof of me being in that program? I hope you guys can help me, because I am freaking out.

I have a physical address that don't accept usps mail .. instead I had to get a P.O. box. So I did one of the most stupid things ever .. I ordered my wedding ring online :( .. And they shipped it to the wrong address (wrong address meaning they send it to my physical address instead of my P.O. Box) :*(

My question is .. when I went to the usps website just moments ago I got this :

Your item was undeliverable as addressed at 8:38 AM on September 10, 2007 in ***********, HI 967**. It is being returned if appropriate information is available.

Do you think they sent it back already or do you think I have some luck if I go down to the Post office box as soon as they open??

Btw this is a small post office .. and I contacted them (post office) in advance of this problem .. they said ok .. no prob, this happens all the time .. but I guess they slipped :(

Ok so I'm 18 right now and I have about $40,000 in the bank. And I wanted to know in your opinion is that enough to start a small business or should I keep working and wait a couple more years? The small business I want to open up is like a donut shop, or a small store called Juice it up which is a small juice store? And please tell me in your opinion do you think $40k is enough and why?

I know the salon owner owes the IRS some money. The salon make a pretty good profit, so why do you think he is selling it so cheap (30 thousand)? What do i need to get in "writing"? Who should I talk to that would know all of the legal issues?
