Where can I buy a small, inexpensive, yet reasonabley effective safe? ((preferabley not from an online store.))

Target sells a good selection of affordable and reliable safes. You can choose from fire proof, water proof, and just regular safes.

There are a bunch of places online. Some even have free shipping which is great because a quality safe will weigh a bunch.

Safe from fire ? or safe from thieves ?
Safe from fire , go to any of the major business supply stores ( Staples , Office Max etc ) .
Safe from thieves , you need weight ( too much for them to carry ) and that is that part that is NOT cheap .

They usually have different sizes at different prices.

I dont know but i h ave a small metal box that has a key lock so i can keep private things inside it. it probably cheaper than a safe.
Maybe that would work for you
