I have a good idea for a business but I feel that I'm lacking some of the basic knowledge for starting and operating a business. For example where can I find dropshippers for my products. How do I negotiate contracts etc etc. Are there any good books out there that cover questions like this or are there any other places where I can find information?

Hi I'm thinking about starting a Shaved ice business. I would like to buy one of those mobile units so I can go to different places on the weekend. I'm wondering is the money as good as it seems to be? Giving a good location what can I expect to make on average? I have a gift shop and i pay rent and taxes. I am concerned because for valentines day i sold teddy bears and flowers , but the sales were not to good due to people who dont pay rent or taxes just putting tables on the corners and start selling and that is harming my business. Is there a website or phone number where i can call and check if its legal for this people to be selling on the corners or what can i do.
