If you have, did you have any bad experiences doing this? Or would you recommend it to someone just wanting to make some extra cash?

We have tried eBay and we found it extrememly difficult to compete with the larger power sellers. We are not exactly the best salespeople face to face, but we do not mind hard work and we do not mind putting in the hours as long as their is an eventual payoff.

Please don't suggest MLM programs, envelope stuffing, pyramid schemes, eBay, cyber begging or anything illegal.

I am a school teacher. I LOVE teaching. I am a very good teacher in a midwestern high school. I would be very depressed to have to leave my position as a teacher because I love it so much. The prospect of going into the world of selling insurance or sitting in a cubicle depresses me even more.

What we (my wife, kids and I) need in order for me to keep teaching and for us to stay afloat financially, is a good financial opportunity. Thank you!

I know that if you don't pay your restaurant bill, you are required to wash the dishes in order to make up the cost. However since the regular dishwashers are still employed and therefore earning a salary, how does the restaurant owner recover his cost from the non payee?

I had a loan related to a business purchase about 3 years ago.
Business name and my name were listed as a debtor in Uniform Commercial Code of New York State.
5 Months ago, I paid off and asked for a letter that all debts were paid off.
I've asked a number of times by phone & letter without getting any good response.
My name is still shown on UCC report.
I am concern that this kind of information would hurt my credit and make difficult for me to get another loan later time.

My questions are:

1) Where and what kind of legal action I can do to clear off my record WITHOUT lawyer ?

2) Anything I can ask for compensation for this kind of negligence?
It's been causing me a great deal of pressure and burden which I am supposed to be free from those, instead.

I'd appreciate your advice in advance.

P.S: If necessary, you can email me your advice at sheffield322w@yahoo.com

I am a student right now, majoring in Web Design. I want to be a freelance web designer, but I do eventually want to build a business out of it. After a few years I want to have a decent client base and I want to start hiring people on right out of school to help them get the experience they need sence it's kinda hard to get a job without it.

I have big dreams for this, but I want to know what i need to do to make a business out of it. Do I need an IRS number? How do I get one? How do I know how much to take out for taxes? I need to know everything lol.

My daughter and I have started making jewelry. We THOUGHT when we first started investing money in the supplies to make it, that we would be able to sell it then be able to put more money back into it, giving us a larger quantity and style to choose from.

The problem is, how do we actually get started? We are mainly making jewelry that represents the colors (and mascot) of the university where we live because it is a very popular item and it is VERY expensive to even purchase a simple little bracelet at Dillard's in the mall.

Problem is, we don't know how to get the stuff out there. Do we invest in jewelry boxes for the ear rings, bracelets and necklaces or just make our own cards to hang them from. Do we need a business license to even do this?

And please don't suggest selling on eBay. For two reasons, One, I have sold on eBay before. It is not as easy as some people let on to believe. And, I have researched 'home made jewelry' and it DOES NOT sell well at all. Thx 4 NE advice!

This contractor has made a multitude of mistakes on my home. When I did a search on the internet, I could not find any information about him or his company. After signing a contract and 122k into the construction of my home, I find out how shady he is. I also found out that that 2 other families who are having homes built feel the same way that I do. If I had found anything questionable about this company prior to signing, I would have thought twice. Please help me help others.
thanks
