It's according to the size of the house, it's condition and what type of cleaning you plan to do.

The best way to charge is by the hour.$15 an hour is a good rate for the east Texas area.If you are somwhere like California or a location that has a high cost of living then i would consider charging more per hour. You should have a $30.00 minimum or a gurantee of at least 2 hours work unless it is of course right next door or an elderly lady that you really do not mind doing that one simple quick job for.Keep in mind that charging by the room or house can sometimes be difficult and you can dig yourself into a whole by having to stick to that price no matter what the condition is.Charging by the hour protects you if it is a bad house and it takes you all day to do what you thought you could do in a few hours.
good luck on your bussiness

Decide what you want to make an hour and add all the other cost for supplies gas insurance licenses etc, and then figure out how many houses you can do in a day and per week month and then work out the costs per square ft. That should give you a base to charge from. Things that are not normal would be extras, like cleaning after pets etc. Have fun

i clean a house once a week and get paid by the hour, i make $ 18 an hour. and they supply all the cleaning doo dads. if you supply the goods, consider $ 18 to 20 per hour, by the hour is better, because by the room is always different.

have estimated... when you get a client, say you will come and estimate a good price for them... try and see what they have paid before and lower it by 10$-20$ for the whole house or so, that will rack you up a very good clientel, then after all those refrences your business will grow into a popular one... and then you will be able to up your charges.... its the best way to create a succesful business, you may not make much in the beginning, but in the end it will all be worth it what your business will bring you financially

I pay a set rate and they do the whole deal regardless of the time it takes them. Sometimes I add a tip if they do something extra for me, and a bonus at Christmas. I supply all the cleaning stuff.

You should first see what size the house is. look around and call one of your competitors and see what they would charge for cleaning your home.

you need to work out your costs....
petrol, insurance, cost of materials, employee wages. business premises - rent, insurance, you break these down to an hourly rate, work out how long it will take you to cleean the house and then charge a hourly rate, this will cover all houses all sizes.
