me and my team are doing it for the queens chamber of commerce.

we have to design a website which will cater to high school and college students who want internships and employment, specifically in new york city and around the triboro area.

we have already tested a beta version in mysql and php and its promising.

nyc has a population of about 8 million, lets say 3 million are students, and 1.2 million are in high school + college in and around the city. if can get 1.2 million users how much would that affect the overall performance of the backend?

my supervisor wants to use java and postresql.

what is your opinion?

thank you so much

Ten years ago I thought of the name "An Affair to Remember" and found that it was available - today I researched it again and found it was trademarked 7 years ago. NOW i'm stuck. I've already got a client whos a friend of a friend and I want to bring business cards to her party. But they'll only have a phone number if I can't come up with something!

Any ideas?

I just barely started my party planning business and my first client is a friend of a friend and it's a one year old's b-day party (clifford themed). She and I will be talking about budget tonight and I still have no idea what to charge. I have a lot of experience and am known for being extremely creative - so she won't be getting a basic balloon and clown show.

She'll have hand made invitations, and it's going to be a big event.
What do I charge since I still need to make a name for myself? Hourly or rated? Please help. Thanks!

I started a business several years ago (less than five) and am interested in switching my business checking account. The new bank needs a fictitious business name statement, but I don't want to pay for another one if I somehow have access to the original. If you know how I can receive a copy of this filing, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Without the long, sad story, it's basically customers trying to get more than they pay for, or using my warranty to "tidy up" I use sighned legal contracts, am specific in what I do and don't do (like be a housecleaner) still, I constantly run into people who want work at a bottom dollar price, and they want the world with it.
Hasn't anyone heard, "you get what you pay for?"
