There's others like dollardays.com, but, I dont know how much they'd make or how long it takes.
When you start your own business, it usually takes awhile to get it rollin.

I see one major problem: shipping. While it makes sense to buy something on ebay and have it shipped for fairly cheap... the shipping added to dollar store items will defeat the purpose of buying things for really cheap. Also, usually things you need at the dollar store, you need pretty fast. But hey try it out if there's not a lot of capital. Go for it.

Nope, It'll cost more to get the good ( candy, pencils etc.) You'll end up spending like 30$+ and make about 10$. However oneredpaperclip.com is a place for users to trade items.

Online no! I dont think that will work well
if shipping is involved someone is not going to buy a idem online for a dollar if the shipping is 3.99 you know
unless you are selling cars...

ok heres wat i think about them

you probably will need a lot of money starting one-like renting a place and such

the cost of your products will be cheap (duh) but youll also be selling cheap.. so unless a bunch of people come to your store (location location location) you probably wont make that much.. and people wont expect dollar stores to have quality products, so they might want to spend an extra buck on something that will last longer.

Well, are people who shop at dollar stores also the ones who go online?

With mak-up on products you won't make huge amount of money, but during periods of snow you will make some when you add in shipping's fees.

I think, if you pick the best things to sell, including candy, note-pads, and stuff like that.
JUST ADVERTIZE IT REALLY GOOD!
GOOD LUCK!
