Assume all other things remain the same. Does the amount of principal change? Does the value of the home change to the current value (lower or higher than the previous price for the house)?

We live in Texas, have put in our 30 day notice which ends 1/31/06. The property today was viewed by "possibly" new renters. Is that allowed, even though we are still living here to the 31 of Jan. I thought the property wasnt allowed to be viewed until after the current renters have left. They did not have an agent w/ them. We were notified of them coming in advance, but were under the impression that they were potiental buyers for this property which is also being sold. I've had tons of potiental buyers view the property but never any potiental renters. Can someone clear this up for me.

After power went out, all our money was lost buying generators, hotel rooms for 8 days. We returned keys, nothing was ever moved in but now we are liable to pay rent for a place we are not even in. Is there any way to get out of this? We live in WA state.

My credit score is right around 500. I make 32,000 year. I am trying to purchase the house I currently live in that my parents own.
The lender ordered an appraisal that came in at 52,000. I only need to borrow 35,000-40,000. I have steady employment and make 34,000 year. I currently have no other debts except credit card chargeoffs, that I am paying back....which is why my credit score is so low.
The mortgage co. I have been working with says they cannot find a "home for the loan" based on these three things:
1. low credit score
2. no verification of rental history( I've always paid my parents the rent in cash)
3. Loan amt. is under fifty thousand.
If you know of any lenders that would loan on this please let me know.

I am trying to decide whether it is time for me to look to buy, or continue renting. I'm in my mid-20s and can put about $40K down, have good credit, preapproved for a mortgage, etc. I just feel like if I'm paying $1500 for an apartment, I won't be saving much more to buy and I'm not making an investment either.

My window started leaking shortly after I moved into my apartment in August. It's an odd leak, and actually leaks through the wood molding at the top part of the bay window, where it attaches to the rest of the wall, and not actually near the window. It usually starts AFTER the rain stops. They came to fix it twice in autumn, and I thought it was fixed, but we got rain last week and it leaked again. I reported the problem again, took down my curtains, etc. They came to fix my closet yesterday (unsuccessfully) and told my roommate that they would fix my window when it was warmer. It's JANUARY. It isn't going to get warmer for a few months, but is warm enough to rain. I had to take my curtains down because it leaks gross rusty-brown water onto them and there is a light directly outside my window, which means that without curtains I get very little sleep. This situation has been going on for months now, is there anything I can do?

My husband and I are in the early home-buying stages and are planning to go to a few open houses this weekend. This is the first time either of us have sought a house to purchase, and we're wondering what we should be looking for when we visit a home? Is it usually a realtor or the homeowner showing the home? Can we take photos of the house? Do we just walk in the home or should we be greeted? Thanks for any advice!

In my divorce, I've agreed to let my ex keep the house for a few more years without paying me my share of the equity until the date I specified. (4 years) I have the note stating I'll get 1/2 the equity in the home (as reflected in the most recent appraisal-which was quite good - it was done last year!) plus 4% interest or 1/2 the equity in the home at the time of sale or refinance.

What do I do now? I know the town gets the quit claim. I'm thinking the note and statutory deed goes to the mortgage company. Am I missing anything else?????
