Sure Michael. Check with your B.S or Broker. They can offer a 'retirement' mortgage. Although with such a small amount involved perhaps you'd be better off with a 'free for 9 months' credit card, replaced with another free for months card later.
Don't forget, the mortgage companies (and Banks) will charge you a set up fee on top of the interest charges.

think you will find that a minimum of borrowing £25,000 is the minimum for a mortgage
