I have fallen in love with a $3 million Hollywood Hills Tuscan-style villa, and I just wanna know what I would need as a down payment and what I would realistically be looking at as monthly payments. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I just went to cash in a Postal Employees Credit Share (kind of like a savings bond) but..?
When I got there they said the maturity date is when the money was taken out. I thought the maturity date is when you are able to take the money out and from that date on is when it gains interests. Now I know for a fact this money was NEVER taken out because you have to be 18 to take out the money. I am 19. and I know i didnt take the money out. Besides I still have the savings bond certificate. They are suppose to take those from you when you cash it in! So what am i suppose to do!

please help! this is an emergency!

I am ready to buy a home, Hubby wants to but doesn't want to touch money in savings to do this. I think he is crazy. We have aprox $50,000 in savings and investments and he want's it for a rainy day. I say that isn't a good plan since we are paying out rent each month and have nothing to show for it. I feel a home is an investment and the current market is out chance to get a great deal as folks are dropping prices to avoid foreclosures. Am I wrong should the money just stay out there and never be used while we keep renting or should I try to get hubby to see that the money will do us more good if we put down a large down payment on a home? Not sure what to do, but would like to resolve this and move before winter (if that is what we do). Thanks!

Mergers & Acquisitions................

Does anyone know of a recent merger or acquisition in the market. And can anyone, briefly describe the companies involved and whether it was a vertical or horizontal merger. Was it a hostile bid or a friendly merger? What are the benefits and costs to both parties involved? What are some different types of synergies and economies of scope and scale expected.

Has anyone ever used the Global Trust Financial services? Somebody reffered me to them to borrow money but I would like to hear from anyone who might have borrowed from them and if they are genuine.I understand they are from Nigeria, and I am bit skeptical..Iam told they would ask for the borrower to pay an up front fee
Please if anyone out there has heard of them or used them kindly let me know how good or bad they are.I would not like to go ahead by sending money and only to find out later that I have been dubbed
I am very desperate
Also if anyone knows of genuine private lenders, who lend to people with low/poor credit history, I would appreciate the information
Thanking you

I see all of these advertisements for ING savings and checking accounts and their rates are much better than any I can get through a conventional bank. So what's the catch? They can't just simply have better rates, can they? Is ING really on the up and up with my money or is there a hidden term or two that could come back to bite me in the rear?

I live in Washington D.C with my parents right now. I am 24 years old, with good credit and make $50k a year. I am planning on buying a house in Frisco, TX. The houses I am looking at are between $120K - 160K. I don't have any other expenses besides my cellphone. My parents are not asking me to pay any bills so that I save up to buy the house. I have so far saved $20K.

After buying the house. I want to fix it up nicely while I am looking for a job and still working in DC. I will not move the same day I buy the house.

Question:
1) do you think I will be able to afford any kind of mortage?
2)Is it only people who make $70K or more that can afford houses?
3)Do you think it would be smart to make until I can make more money before buying a house?

Please tell me what you do think.

Currently, I am looking for a second job. I hope to get it soon. Maybe, as a waiter or a security guard. Right now I am a proposal analyst for a government contracting firm.

Ive received a Postal order from an ebay member for a purchase made from me. I was going to post it but do I have to wait for it to clear like a cheque? Or do you pay it in and is credited straight away? I know I might sound stupid but Ive never received one before! Thanks

But, the money that I am going to use is for investment. It is not easy to save. IF I use it, I will be losing half of the profit. But then, if I don't pay the loan now, I am afraid the BLR will increase in the years to come. That's mean, I am losing too. What is the best solution?? please... Thank you so much
