Hi.
I need cash, and I am thinking of closing one of my Roth IRA account. I am aware that this is a bad move, not just for early closing fee, Fed. tax of 10%, and state tax.
My question is, will it damage my credit history if I closed Roth IRA now?
btw, I am 31 years old and I will not touch my Roth IRA with other institution, nor other forms of retirement savings.
Thank you.

I posted ( I need a $25,000 unsecured loan )

I got several answers and most of the people are from out of the country and want me to fill out this form: Plus a Bank Account # for them to wire the funds. It definatly seems like a scam I just want to hear some feed back on it.

Thanks

Right now, she has a lump sum in a Genworth annuity that is only returning about 4%. Any money she takes out now is taxable (it was non-taxable going in). Is there a way to transfer the balance or at least the priciple to another higher yielding annuity? What kind of fees or penalties would she be looking at? Is there another investment that may have a higher yield? Who can answer her questions... because I am clueless. :-)

My boyfriend and I want to take out a $3,000 loan for a down payment and first months rent on a rental home. I have a few questions:

1. Do you have to belong to the bank you get the loan from?
2. If one of use has better credit than the other, is it better to do two separte loans or do one loan together.
3. How long does a loan take to come through?
4. Are there penalities if you pay the loan off faster than scheduled?
5. What about Bank of America: are they good? Wachovia?
6. What is the difference between a secured personal loan and unsecured personal loan?

A co-worker and I got on the topic of how bad we are at saving money. She told me that she has $25 put into her US Bank savings account, but her primary bank is Wellsfargo. We both have automatic deposit so her check goes into her fargo account. But her US Bank Savings takes out $25 a week to for that account. I didnt know if this was legal?? Would US bank have to access her fargo account? Or would our employer's bank signal funds in both of the banks first thing?

It is all quite legal and here is a an actaual example from to day's newspaper, typical of most of them. They simply exploit people's ignorance of the rules of rounding:

A major finance company advertises that its lending rate is 8.4% APR and their accompanying table shows that for a loan of £10,000 over 120 months you would pay £122.05 per month,

If you calculate the true interest rate for these payments, you will find it is 8.447%. Of course in law, the company cannot be accused of telling lies, because to the first decimal place, the interest rate they are quoting is correct.

I already am a home owner and am looking to buy a plot of land to build my dream home.

I have around £13,000 in savings and have just found a plot for £45,000.

Question is: Can you get a mortgage just to buy the plot of land? Ie 45k - 13k i need 32k loan.

The plan is to buy land just now and sit on it for a while, then the idea is to sell my house, then the money from the house goes into the buld, this being around £140k. When im ready maybe in around a years time.

Is there any loan companies or building societys that offer loans for this?
Or a loan company that will lend more than 25K on a personal loan?

Uk people to answer only please.

Thanks for help, any links or leads much appreciated.

Ok here is the thing. My parents are still alive. Mom does not like Wills, Living Wills or anything of the such. Dad just does what mom says, lol. They only had my brother and I. He passed away a couple of years ago. (you can see my profile for some of the story) But anyway, just before my brother passed away, mom and dad put one acre and one house in his and his wife's name. The other 2 acres and house they listed me as suivor of them and I get that.My brother had 2 kids and they are grown and gone. Well the boy took over their house and made his own mom move out. I have 2 kids my self, grown and gone as well. Last year my parents put my name on their banking account. My parents don't want to give them any thing else now, they want the rest of it to go to me. Here is the problem, mom will not have a will made out at all. She thinks that the attorneys are just after more money. Their attorney himself told me that if they leave things the way they are now that my brothers ............

i took out a loan under my name for my parents a few years ago while i was still living at home - so instead of me paying housekeep i paid the loan now that i have moved out they pay me £60 a month for their loan- they have just remortgaged their house without giving me anything to clear their debt - i love them to pieces but they still owe £5000 - it would take nearly 7 years to clear this if they only pay £60 a month - i'm in alot of debt myself totalling £15000 but obviously this includes my parents loan i had to use the cash machine for my mum the other day because it wasn't working out properly and noticed that they have over £8000 in their account - i didn't mention it bec i didn't want any rows but i'm pregnant now with my first child and i feel that i don't want to be strugglging forever but i really love my parents and don't know what to do - i am going to have to ask them to increase their loan repayments without any rows to £100 a month, or can i transfer their debt to them?

I have got several thousand dollars of debt: 18K @ 5%, 3,400 @ 4%, 4,800 @ 10%, 15K @ 7%. I will receive approximately 10K soon. Should I save it all, part or use it all toward debt? My current savings is approximately 2K. I am maxed out on 401K. I budget with about 250.00 left each month. I am planning on getting married in approx 18 months.
