I was given a atm/debit card by Charter One Bank at age 17 and the age requirement was 18.I've accidentally overdrawn out of my account and accumulated a bill of over $300,was unable to pay it and it's been sent to collections.I'm 18 now.But the entire purpose Banks set these age requirements is because of the responsiblity that comes along with managing a Atm/Debit card.Which I admit.I wasn't responsible enough to handle and wasn't aware of how you can overdraw your account. So basically my question is.Can my bank be held responsible (similar to how a liquor could be held responsible for selling aclohol to a minor and they go out and get into an accident killing someone)would a court of law force them to waive the fee or even pay me damages for the trouble?

I have a low credit rating due to medical bills. I am paying them off slowly but it has made it on to my credit rating. When interviewing companies check your credit rating, will this disqualify me or make it harder to find a job?

I have a lot of credit cards that I want to consolidate and get ride of but I keep getting denied or they give me very low loan amounts that will just get me in more trouble instead of helping me. I have a credit score between 650 and 700 and I make enough to pay it but I still can not get approved for a personal loan. I don't understand why I can get approved for a mortgage but not a personal loan. I am getting very frustrated and I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

I have two 401(k) plans with different employers and wanted to roll them over into a rollover IRA. Is it possible to open just one rollover IRA account and rollover both 401(k) plans into this account? I believe there is a 60 day rule of some sort with regards to rollovers, can someone explain that to me fully and how it would apply if I did multiple 401(k) rollovers?

I also wanted to convert that rollover IRA into a Roth IRA but would it count towards my Roth IRA contributions for the year?

I worked at this firm 20 years ago and joined their pension scheme. I left and a few years later, the company closed down. However, I get this statement every year from Norwich Union telling me my pension is now worth x-amount. I've asked them if I can just have the money now but they say I can't, not until I'm 50 at the earliest. I'd rather have some money now. Are their any companies that will buy the pension off me for a reasonable amount if I sign it over to them to claim on when it matures?

I keep seeing questions that basically ask for a hand-out, and I'm thinking to myself, "This is just TOO GOOD!" So I figured I'd get in on the act and beg for money also. If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I'm not especially poor (I make $11,000 a year, my budget works, I'm saving for retirement and I have a little house to call my own), but I'm not rich either. Hmm, not pathetic enough.

Sometimes, when I eat a meal, I want dessert, but I can't afford it!

I haven't had any alcohol since January! I can't even afford to drink! How I crave my precious Long Island Iced Tea! Lol. I have no idea how these people sound congruent. I'm not a good sob story-writer.

But just in case anyone out there has some money to burn, please send me as much as you like to geeloeeloee@yahoo.com through Paypal. I'd much appreciate it.

Why don't we all go start a web site called BeggarsRing.com?

Hello I'm Marlon Stanfield, 29 year-old father of one eight-year old girl. I have very little family. I'm single, and sometimes it's a struggle for me to take on all my responsibilties myself. Today I couldn't make it to work because I had no gas and everyone I called couldn't help. So tonight I decided to see if my Yahoo family would help after reading St.Luke Chapter 6. All I need is $20 and I'll be fine. I will even repay anyone that decides to send it to me. Money order, check, cash, whatever. I would be truly thankful and if I recieve the $20 before I get the first..... I will send your money back. You can mail any donations to:

14664 Middle Gibraltar Rd. Apt 8
Rockwood, MI 48173

payable to Marlon Stanfield

If you think of this and decide to do it then you are a truly favored person.

My spouse took out credit cards in my name with my information. Can I close these accounts if I am the primary cardholder, that is the person identified as the one opening the account at the time it was opened. I now have a lot of debt on cards in my name that I was not aware of until just recently.
