I understand there is peer to peer lending services on the Internet that work fine. I did a quick Google search and came up with www.prosper.com. You might want to check out one of these services.

Otherwise, I would see if you can join a credit union (if you are currently not a member). Credit Unions usually work with you (more than banks) to help you.

This is really not the best way to accomplish this. You are more likely to find scams here than legitimate lenders.

Do you own a home with equity that you can borrow from? That may be a simple question, but it's a good place to look.

Next, try friend and family. Of course, it will depend on what you need the money for.

Ok, if you are not tolerant of scams then why are you announcing to the world that you need a $10,000 loan? That will attract scammers faster than anything in the world. You will get all sorts of them showing up. Trust me, legit loan companies are not on Yahoo Answers looking for customers.
