The banks are toying with the idea of charging customers for the use of current accounts.
As a very high percentage of people in the UK need a current account to recieve wages/benefits etc, what is the alternative for people who would not want to pay this new charge..?

I have worked for a successful, thriving, company for several years now and earned over $15,000 worth of profit sharing. The problem is i have $9,000.00 worth of credit card debt. I was thinking about quitting the company i work for then use the profit sharing to get out of Credit card Debt! Just can't stand being in Debt,..can use that money and feed into a saving and retirement account. Always nice to have money saved up for a rainy day or if something were to ever happen then have the means to do something about it. So, my question to you. Is it a smart move to get out Credit card Debt by using your profit sharing?

I have saved around $20,000. I want to buy me a condo however, do you think is better to rent or own a condo. I am only 23, and make about $32,000 a year. I've been doing some calculations, but if I was to take out a mortgage, I would not be able to afford it because I don;t make enough at my job. Need guidance.

In 2004 I bought my dream house, new construction and helped design it... My job was secure, I now have been with the same job for 13 years and all was well in the world. Paid $185K. My financial plan/budget was sound. Since then, my new boss is threatining to terminate my employment every other week, I have a 19 month old child and want another, spend too much on credit cards and my property taxes are higher than expected. Our friend's sister is a realistate agent, states that we can sell for at least 209K, we think that's low...but we are confused and sad to sell... any suggestions?

I'm moving out about 3,000 miles away and sharing a two bedroom apartment with 2 other people. I am not yet 18. My parents are still going to pay for health care, car payments, car insurance, and life insurance since I cannot obtain it myself. My mother is planning on adding me to her credit card and checking account (no, I'm not going to take advantage of my mom), and give me 1,000 to cover rent and other things I will need it for. My job is going to pay 10-12 dollars an hour for 15-20 hours a week. I need to pay for ...

Utilities
Grooming
Groceries
Entertainment
Savings
One-time expenses (deposits, school sport fees, furnishings)
Clothes/Shoes
Internet
Cell Phone
My Pittbull's needs
Gas and Matinence

and my roommates will probably contribute $50-$100 ...
I want to know if this is enough, am I leaving out any expenses, and is it wrong to ask for my roommates for help ...
Thank you very much for your time .

I need to pay for the balance owed on my new car Monday but the money required, which I have, won't transfer into my checking account until a day or two after that. They only allow $3,000 to be put on credit cards and I was hoping to put at least $5,000 on them. I have the money to pay off the cards but thought it would be easier to do it this way so I didn't transfer the money from my other accounts sooner.
