My boyfriend of 6 years and I are breaking up. We have a joint banking acct. Does anyone know what the procedure is to take him off of my acct? Obviously I call the bank but I am wondering if he needs to set up a new acct before they can take him off of it since he has direct deposit? Has anyone else gone through this that can give me some advice? Thanks.

My bf and I have started putting money into an ISA but we are only 22. I just think it's a little bit young to worry about when we retire, I'd rather spend the money on doing up the house. Have you started saving yet. I got a letter a few months ago from the DWP and it says I should get like £100 a week when I have my pension and my bf slightly higher because he works full ime, is this true? I thought they had scrapped the whole government pension thing for when we get to that age. Will we still get a pension in 40 years time?

I believe it's possible but I can't put the ideas together in my head. What are some unique ways people have made a million dollars in less than a year? If you're a millionaire, how long did it take you? Does it really require a bunch of money to make money?

I have long thought that the current system of America's finicial instituions and government is designed to keep most of america in poverty , ie the rich get richer the poor get poorer.
I think I may have a solution- please give my your thoughts. with honest critisism -
If a group of people each chose to withold 10% of their income from their checks and when it was returned at the end of tax season - put each person 10% (or the remainder) into a single account and pay off the lowest of each bill among the group . Bills begin defined as non - utility (cable, phone, heat, lights, water, trash, rent) bills. In order to not have the system abused - demand a 5 year agreement from each member, and an independent accountant to manage the monies.

What do you think? Would it work to get a large number of people out of debt? -

I do realize that some people would pay more than others with the 10%.

thoughts?

My credit rating is bad, so i get refused from most credit cards etc. BUT i want to transfer the balance from 2 credit cards onto an interest free one. Ive tried and been refused from 1 company.
Is there any way around this??
Or even better is there a QUICK way to fix my credit rating? (I have been making regular on time payments for the last year).

I'm on my way to claiming bankruptcy and I just wanted to know for those that have, is it really as bad as everyone says it is? I don't plan on purchasing anything major (ie- house, car, etc) anytime soon, I just want a fresh start. What are the normal fees for this process? I don't own any valuable assets, or owe anything besides credit card debt.
Your advice would be much appreciated
Thank You!

What can I do with this lump sum to avoid it being overly taxed? Can I spend it if I need to? This is not my 401K rather a pension plan that I plan on taking as a lump sum, not waiting until I retire. I am 40 yrs old and will invest the money elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm just confused about how Certificates of Deposit work. It doesn't make sense that I'd make $300 in 20 days. I mean, that's better than the stock market!

Sold house, cars, business. Served my three years as a leper. (Nowadays only one year). It seems that if you were made bankrupt AFTER April 2005, my pension would have been protected. But a unit called the PRU - Protracted Recovery Unit has been formed to pursue pensions of people made bankrupt almost 20 years ago. £10,000 cash has already been handed over without my knowledge to the receiver, and my pension is being paid to them for the next five years. Are there any keen legal brains out there with any ideas? Thank you.
