Is Stan Larual Clint Eastwoods Father?
Who do you think will win Big Brother?
Is SoapstarSuperstar over and if so who won?

I had to ask all these questions here because I have only 6 points left and 'm not bothering answering anyone else's stupid answers.

I am behind on my car payment. I just received a letter from GMAC stating that they are going to "charge off my account" as bad debt. And that the account would be turned over to a collection agency. That they are going to hold my title until the account is paid.

My question is are they going to reposses the vehicle?

My wife received a notice from a collections agency over an auto tax for 1993 and 1994 from a city she used to live in, but moved away from. It also came along with $650 in penalty charges and interest over the principal. Why would a city wait 13 or 14 years before trying to pursue payment? What can we do about the penalties? Shouldn't have the city tried to find her sooner? My wife was unaware of the charges as she was working for a company that moved her around alot. Its possible that the bills were never forwarded to her.

I am actually very excited can this be true? the suspicious thing about it is that it asks 675$ to pay the check!
The reason?
PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST THAT THIS CHARGE SHOULD BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR WON CHEQUE, IT WILL NOT BE HONORED, BECAUSE YOUR WON CHEQUE HAS BEEN FULLY SIGNED DIRECTLY FROM SUBURBAN BANK AND TRUST COMPANY NEW YORK.

I moved out of state for a job but I'm now considering moving back. Been on the job for 6 yrs and my credit is in the upper 600's last time I check which was about 2 yrs ago. I want to move back home so I was thinking of selling my car which I could get about $5000 maybe and then trying to get a personal loan or a car loan from the bank for about 25k-30k. Use 15k to get a new car and the other to help with my expenses while I move back and hold me until I find a nice job, just in case I don't find one before my move. Is this possible?

I am in my last year of law school, still searching for a post-graduation job. When my parents filed for bankruptcy, they were allowed to stop paying on their home morgage (around $1200 a month) under the Bankruptcy Code. This "automatic stay" has been in place since my dad filed, a total of 6 months. Hence, for 6 months my parents have been living in their house that is about to be foreclosed by the bankruptcy courts without paying a morgage. You think they would have saved money for moving right? NOPE. They don't have a dime!
I am a LOT wiser with my money. I have a $5000 mutual fund account, over $3000 in savings, 2 jobs in which I place "extra" money in money market account.
They have paid my car note and insurance ever since I have been in law school. I feel that I should help them with their down payment on their new house but I am scared because they are not financially responsible and I need that money to pay for bar dues, bar classes, the bar itself, moving expenses, etc.
