About 2 months ago I received a notice from the IRS stating that I may owe them $5000 due to my stock company reporting x and my employer reporting x. I was given 30 days to dispute the audit results. Well I sent in a Schedule D form to balance out the two but I have received a notice of deficiency from the IRS stating I still owe them $5000. The notice also states that I have until March to petition the the tax courts. I called the IRS and the rep did some recalculating and now says I owe $2000...but they havent received my Scheduled D form yet...I am going to resend my dispute....my question is if I file my taxes now will they be taken?

I know that the majority of you reading this question . . . you're outraged, but in the past, times got extremely hard. I had to do something and because of my credit, this was my only option. The fees are killing me. My girlfriend is no longer employed, therefore . . . I'm taking care of the bills. What happens if I choose not to pay these loans? I'm worried. I'm stressed. I've even began having anxiety attacks due to the stress. Serious answers only please. I'm in need of help.

I have a question regarding a trading strategy that I am interested in pursuing. The strategy is as follows:
BUY: 100 shares ABC @ 19.00
BUY: One Jan 19 Put contract for ABC
Premium- $1*100= $100
Profit: $20+
Loss: $18-20
Even: $18 or less
By hedging the purchase of 100 shares of ABC, the options contract acts to decrease risk but in doing so also limits my potential profit. Essentially, I would be betting that upon expiration, ABC would be priced anywhere but within the $18-20 range. The strategy operates best in highest volitility. Immediate volitility inflates an options premium which in turn expands the area of inprofitiblity having, consequentially, this would most likely only be a hedge against loss moreso than a profit yielding strategy. However, while past and immediate volitlity are priced into an options contract is that the same for forecasted volitlitiy such as an impending earnings report?

I have worked for some elderly people where I live, cleaning houses and catering, nothing official, but when I put the contact information of these people on applications and get called in for an interview, I always get "Well that might be a form of experience, but it's not a real job where you have to punch in, etc, blah blah blah. We're looking for someone with real experience"

Now I'm stuck. What should I do, or how should I fill out my applications? I need some help

Hello everybody. I wish to all of you a happy new year which is coming in a few hours. I would like to ask a question regarding investments. Many times i have heard from people in the investment arena that to start an investment you must have at least 10000. I have to say though that there are not many people out there who have 10000 in cash to start an investment. What about these people and how could be helped in order to make a start in the investment arena. It is very hard to see that there are too much money around you but not for you. If anybody of you dear friends have an idea please contact me. Please only serious answers. Not serious answers will be reported. Thanks

I've wanted to get involved in the medical field assiting patients ever since my grandmother died in long term care, I saw how horrible their care could sometimes be and think people deserve better. I want to start looking into what I need to do to get trained for it but I have a lot tattoos on my arms, so I'm wondering would this make it hard for me to find a job in this field? I know times have changed but theres still a lot of ignorant people out there when it comes to tattoos, I wouldn't want invest so much time and money into it if I'm not even going to be able to get a job.

I am just venting but I called other companies and they all say the same thing. In 2005 my policy was for $60,000.00 dwelling and today I recieved the policy and it called for over $109,000.00 coverage? I wrote my Senator and filed a complaint with the state's insurance division. Seems like a ripoff to me. I have NEVER had a claim and don't intend to. To me it is just the idea that they can double my house value in two years time........

I started a new job and was told they hold a pay period behind. It is a salary position paid bi-weekly. The comtroller is out 'sick' (she's having babies this week) and no one here can seem to answer my questions. I'm pretty naive when it comes to what amount of money I will be getting on my first paycheck. I assumed I'd get one two weeks ago, now I find out it'll be the 4th and while rent will be three days late I am trying to budget for the rest of the month.

Any and all information would be helpful. Lord knows I should have paid attention in an econ class.

The seller has came back after his real asking price of $49,000. Says yes he will pay the closing cost if I will pay 53,000 for the house. He says the house should appraise for the 53 amount. Do I go to the bank and tell this and see if they will up my loan or do I shop eles where for a house. My agent said go ahead with offer. It would only change my payment $6 a month. I'm thinking of the 30 years here.
