like i want to get this thing but its $40 all together, and i have a $35 gift card and a $25 giftcard to amazon. is it possible to combine them to pay for this one thing?

yes. as you pay, under the place for the credit cards and whatever there will be a giftcard thing where you can type in the code. if you want to use another gift card you don't press continue, you press the other button. it explains it for you there.

When you check out, enter your gift card and it should subtract it from our total and give you a new total, then enter you second gift card information. This should then subtract from your total.

Yes, there should be a place to put both gift cards when you are ordering and paying.
