Are bills and coins still legal to use even after they are retired? Such as the Canadian two dollar bill, its been retired for awhile now, replaced by the two dollar coin (the Toonie). I'm wondering if the two dollar bill would be still legal to use at a store.

At what point would a store stop accepting retired money. And at what point would the bank stop exchanging the retired money for the current form?

I went into the bakers and gave £10 note they gave me change which they gave was a old £5 note. I didnt know I went in to the butchers and brought tomato ketchup she gave me £4 change and accepted the old bank note. I then went to chemist and kwik save walking back she stopped me and said she couldnt accept the £5 I gave her. I have already left the shop about 5-10 minutes ago. She expects me to go in tomorrow and exchange the old note from her and give her a new note. Do you think I should do it. I have just moved into the area and I dont want to cause trouble just I dont want to end up giving a valid note for something useless. With that I can buy nappies and baby jars with it.
What bank branches still accept that. Please can someone let me know from recent experience in 2007 form exchanging notes. I live in cardiff I dont have a bank of england here and no point sending note off. it will cost as much to send it off.
what do I do?

Any couriers out there earning a decent wage? can you give any tips/advice? any websites with good info on best ways to earn as a courier, as i hear that some ppl have given up this type of work due to poor wages, yet others say they earn very nicely and wish they'd started years ago! So I'm thinking, what makes the difference between an unsuccessful courier and a successful one. what are the poor earners doing wrong and what exactly are the successful ones doing or have done right?

I recently joined Ebay this january and started active paticipation in their activities just this past week. Now I have won two items I mistakenly bid for without really needing them. I am at a loss regarding what to do as one of the sellers already has been sending me threats that he would give me a negative feedback!
