they cost about 400 dollars and claim to cut your heating bill by up mto 50%..says it only costs pennies a day to operate, is cool to the touch, cannot start fire....are these things for real or a gimmic?...wouldn't you thing if they were as good as claimed that everybody would have one??...any help?

i am an accounting student, my teacher let us conlude the expect revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expense and net income for the next year for a company like comapbell's soup Inc. I am trying to figure out how much a $500 donation given to my college in 1938 is worth in today's dollars. It sounds like a lot of money for back then, but we are unsure how much it would be equivalent to today.

Lindsey and Johanna want to rent scooters with 2 other friends. Thhey have 230 dollars to spend...the sign below shows the rental rates

Rent one scooter for 12.25 dollars per HR

For groups of four or more save 3 dollars a person

All rates do not include 7% tax rate

Based on the info from the sign write and solve an equation to determine the # of hours (H) the 4 friends can rent scooters for $230

like im pretty sure i know how to do the problem but do you think they want me to add the 7% sales tax in?

Hello,

I am facing redundancy, and I was given two options to consider if I am made redundancy:-

* 8 weeks notice workng
* 2 weeks notice working and 6 weeks gardening leave

I would like to know which one would get me more money, and whether it is tax free.

And oh, if I choose gardening leave - will I be allowed to go on holiday overseas?

I would appreciate your answer.

I am using the formulae =(EOMONTH(NOW(),0)-NOW())+1 to calculate the days left in the current month including today.
The problem is that before 12h00 the days are calculated correctly but just after 12h00 the days left in the month is one day short.

i find it a bit dodgy, why do they have to take cash...cant they do it via direct debit?The rest of the rent you pay by direct debit but why do they take cash for the 1month deposit and advance...pls let me know

I received a letter about two weeks ago from a co. in Quebec/Canada stating that I had won 45,000.00 dollars and that I needed to call within 7 days to claim the prize and they enclosed a check for 3,250.00 which they claim is for nonresidential taxes. We researched the web and we couldn't find the name of the co....so we called the bank where the check was issued (MA) and they said that the check was not good. I contacted the co. that sent me the letter and have been talking to them and the last thing they said is that they are going to check with the bank but I have not heard from them yet...I called yesterday and they want me to send them the 3,250 out of my money while they look into this. Of course I said no.. Any ideas on how to handle this???
