I have to do a research presentation on fixed and variable costs and how management uses them in decision making. What industry should I focus this on?

I have two £5 coins from 2003 and I don't know if I can spend them or not. I have a feeling they can only be used in Marks and Spencers but is that true? Or are they unusable - should I sell them on Ebay or will the bank give me money for them?

Does anyone know of any merchants in Toronto who accept prepaid Visa debit cards? I have approached over 15 merchants with no luck! All ring in my purchase, swipe the card and then ask for a PIN number which I do not have. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks.

If you outsource a company function like accounts receivable or human resource management to another company how does it make financial sense? the contractor company also desires to make a profit, cover overhead, manpower, taxes as much as the contracting company. Is someone not analyzing actual costs of outsourcing v. keeping it in-house? (this question pertains to functions that cannot be outsourced overseas such as customer call-centers or technical help-lines).

I have a business idea, which i know will work, due to my expertise in the area, and also some very hard work on my part.
The problem is however, that i would require £2 million GBP of investment, just for it to work, due to the nature of the business.

This is such a higly profitable area, that realistically i would easily make between £2million to £2.5 Million, In the first year alone!

So now i have the details out of the way, heres the real question,
HOW DO I GET FUNDING?

Hey Just give me a hint or just tell me what the possible problem is, I do not ask you to solve it for me, just I need a little help here.

The problem is:
Green Prince, a cannery specializing in no-chemical vegetables, sold most of its inventory of canned green beans to Hardy Holdings. Green Prince expects to repurchase the inventory as it needs to fulfill customers’ orders and has entered a repurchase agreement. The repurchase agreement specifies that it will negotiate the price to be paid at the time of repurchase.
the Question is: State the potential accounting problem

If a company does not produce significant cash flows during year X and Year Y, how is the company able to finance it's growth without a sufficient amount of operating cash flow?

Example: After reviewing financial statements of a company, you discover that their net income increased while operating cash flows decreased.
Can anyone explain and provide a brief demonstration of how that happens?

On the Last Will & Testament of my 3xgreat-grandfather dated 1808 he had, along with land and property,£3500.
How much is that in todays money?
The money was obviously left to his children etc, but, unfortunately,my great-grandmother ended up losing the lot to a dodgy solicitor...THE SWINE!!
Anyway,as much as it will probably 'torture' me,it would still be interesting to know just how much my folk were actually worth all those years ago?
