I have no idea what heading this should go under, so if it doesn't belong here, I apologize.

I recently sold a used laptop computer...

- First, in my ad I stated there was an operating system issue and the buyer would most likely need to reinstall Windows.
- Second, I did not ask for a set price...instead I allowed those interested to name their own price.
- Third, I stated in the ad that the buyer is purchasing the laptop "as is" and there would be no refunds.

A guy contacted me and wanted to buy the laptop, and he offered the best price for it, so I sold it to him. When talking to him on the phone, he asked for a warranty and I told him there was no warranty, that he would have to purchase the laptop "as is". When I went to meet him to give him the laptop, he asked again for a warranty and again I told him there is no warranty.

He gave me the money, I gave him the laptop, and we parted ways. Now, 4 days later, he is calling and emailing me 100x a day!!

In sales, I have to send out a lot of mailings, and I'd like to find out how long I should wait before following up with my customers. Perhaps a website is available? I've already tried USPS.com without success.

I have an invention and it's not been patented yet. I have a different invention that I want to keep and manufacturer so I want to sell my one idea to fund the other. What is the process for selling an idea? This is a great idea and I am sure I could sell it and make a huge amount of money. Let me know what you all think. Has anyone sold an idea to a company and made a killing on it?

For a college English class, I need to write a paper either on Finance and/or on Food. I would however like to combine these two areas (finance and food) and write my paper on this combined topic. I would love recommendations or ideas for my paper, a topic that combines finance and food. If not, just a really good food topic. I have to present my paper after I'm done with it, so a really interesting/fun topic would be really helpful! Thanks!

What does "virtual goods" mean. Some people are stealing money from my checking acct thru paypal and saying that I bought "virtual goods" from them which is not true. Currently paypal and my bank's fraud dept. are investigating. I'm talking close to $700 for 3 trans. Is it illegal to buy a comp program and then sell the cd key to different people for money? I think that's what these guys are doing. How do I figure this out?

Ok, so i started doing this paid to read emails thing about a week ago, i found one that looks decent, its called energy mail.

I wonder, has anyone had any dealings with them or does anyone have any other real sites that offer the same thing.

Started pretty well, after 7 days, i have amassed $2025, but i need to get upto $15k before payout.

So it will be a few weeks before i know whether its real or not.

Has anyone used them, anyone been ripped off by any of these companies, or has anyone recommended any good ones?

I'm here in the Philippines. I have no paypal or credit card. I asked someone here (he has paypal) that I wanted to buy at ebay.com and the only payment option that the seller accepts is paypal. I asked him what is his system (the one who has paypal) if I would use his paypal account (of course he is the one who will buy at ebay then I will just pay him in peso.) his system is like this, if the total payment for the item is let say $60 the one who has paypal account wanted me to pay $60+%30 (%30 of $60 is $18) of the total amount so I would pay him $78. Is +%30 too much?

I would plan events for individuals and companies. Examples...
Promotions, golf tournaments, home shows, product demos, fairs / festivals and trade shows, business meetings, lunches, banquets, conventions etc... The sky is the limit except I'm pretty sure I don't want to do weddings. My thought is that many businesses do not have the budget or approval to hire a full time employee to handle these events or simply do not have the time and even don't want to be bothered with it. I have tremendous experience in this area and have organized successful events in all the catagories above. What are your thoughts and ideas? Any suggestions for names? I have already thought of " The Main Event," but that seems too common to me.
