I just posted a "getting scammed" question. I am getting really great answers. It will be hard to pick just one best answer. Now I need to know how to go about getting that website shut down so more people won't be ripped off. I read a complaint from someone that got scammed by this company on 02/13/07- It made me sick. I knew exactly how "Susan B" felt. People are taking the bait everyday!!! What can be done about the website? The BBB has this company listed as "Out of Business" But the website is still IN business. It's like a trap. Check it out. www.wholesalequalityclothing.com. Great prices, raving customer testimony, 100% money back guarantee. WE'VE GOT TO STOP THEM. Who do I contact to shut down the website? I hope and pray someone knows the answer to this one.......

I have a question. A couple of days ago I wrote a check of $50 for some magazine subscriptions. Later I changed by mind (had reason to worry over the magazine company) and contacted the company saying that I wanted to cancel (I was still within the 3 day period given for cancellations). As an extra precaution, I stopped payment on the check. Today, I was contacted by the magazine company saying that they hadn't cashed the check yet and therefore they would just destroy it instead of going thru the trouble of issuing a refund. So here's my question, since I contacted the company over the cancellation and, if all goes as promised, no one should ever have any claim over that money, is there any reason to worry that there might be any legal problems over the "stop payment" later on? I hope I was clear enough to understand what I'm saying.

Her cellphone bill and it got cut off...Well she is still unable to pay it. And a letter was sent to her from Alltel letting her know she may be eligble for a settlement and they set a court date in May, She wants to know what is going on? What is this settlement?

Rachel Outlet took my money (and alot of other peoples money) and won't give it back. I have begged, threathened, tried to gain pity (unemployed, single mother etc. I am.) -- I have filed complaints and reported the company to several agencies including the Attorney General, FBI, and IRS, but how do I get my money out of their hands into mine? When I talk to Bennie on the phone he speaks very fast and repeats himself, it is very difficult to understand what he says. When he emails me, it's like this, I will copy and paste his own writing...

I have recently closed my checking account because some movie sites and credit card companies took it upon themselves to withdraw funds from my account without my permission and also did not know these movie sites after a trial period would continue to take money out when I didn't even know I was a member. I never went past the trial period that I knew of and if I was charged all had a phone number, reimbursed me except for this one site and now they have somehow managed to get money from my mothers' account. My name is on her account but she was not conntected with my debit card as I couldn't get money out of her account with my debit card If anyone knows how I can stop this other than contacting the bank, I would appreciate any help.

Remember you can have trades with other countries but pay or receive money in your own currency. The central agency (my organization) would deal with the exchange. Goods only include the ones that can be transmitted through the internet (e.g., e-books), or the one's that doesn't need our personal involvement (e.g., shipping). What do you think? Do you have suggestions as to what other products could be used in these kinds of transactions? It can revolutionize the way things work now. Thanks for your valuable suggestions.

There's a company advertising 20 - 100 countertop or stand up carousel candy machines for $199.50 ea - $169.50 ea. Has anyone heard of this type of company. They give you a start up of candy. You have to pay $1.50 per unit for a charity. They also have a professional locator to find a location for you to put your vending machines. Can anyone find information on this company being a scam or being a legitimate deal? Thanks!

Do you work for a defense contractor? Not necessarily a company that relies on the pentagon for most of its revenue, but let's say if 20 percent or more of the company's revenue comes from services or equipment supplied to the military or to another defense contractor? I know it's hard to separate becuase the miltary budget is so big.
