yes they do. especially cardiac equipment. the energy wave can cause them to malfunction

i dont know about hospital equipment, but i have heard that they affect pace-makers. the radio waves that a cellphone amplifies and even radiates frys the electro-magnetic wave that initates movement in the pacemaker, making it fail---causing death.
