I gave a first examination under oath to the investigator from my insurance company shortly after my house fire because it was under investigation for arson (charges were filed.....not against me) the questions were mostly related to the investigation on the cause etc. I now have to give a second exam under oath to finish the claims process. My question is in relation to personal property, am I going to have to answer to each individual item and its worth? I was lucky enough to get a copy (thru my lawyer) of the inventory the insurance company did. It is VERY thorough. I plan to use that inventory to support my claim of loss. I am wondering if I have to answer questions bout each individual item listed? I dont have receipts and I cant remember how much things cost when I bought them Also, I would rather not talk about some of the items listed on the inventory from the master bedroom..personal and private items if you know what I mean. How does that all work?

Husband was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and resulting stage 4 liver disease two years ago. He wants to leave current job(insurance is currently Harvard Pilgrim)We are concerned that due to his serious preexisting condition a new employers insurance will not cover med care associated with preexisting condition and he could actually die if that is the case! We need to know the law before he moves from one job to another.

With so many Insurance companies refusing to cover/insure Military personnel, why don't the major UK insurance companies take the lead by instead of offering gifts like Dvd players, mobile phones etc to sign up with them, offer something more useful like a decent flak jacket?

Anyone in Illinois? They will be offering me one soon and I'm curious as to what other people have received for a similar injury. Thanks for the info.

I bought a 2001 celica a bank loaned me monie and i had full coverage the day i drove it off the lot. requiered in order to buy or be approved for a loan. the bank charged me an extra hundred dollars every month for 6 months. i totaled it two months after buying it. yet i was charged extra by the bank for not showing my full coverage to them so ther bank was charging trhem extra and in turn they were charging me extra. well the bank recieved a full pay off by my insurance and i still owed like 5 thousand dollars.i nver recieved any notice to show full coverage. i finally researched my account and realized the bank was still charging my mom. this bank employee told my mom she would hep lower the payment and that they would settle the account for less than owed and close it. well the ladie wanted to charge my mom one thousand extra so i told her over the phone i wanted to speak with her supervisor and she told me and your mom will handle this and said she did not want to talk with me any

I can try to buy one for myself for my children, but my concern is, how can I protect myself if my husband passes away before me? What are my legal options if I cannot convince him to buy life insurance? We have quite a conservative lifestyle, we are not lavish, we try to keep to to minimum costs but not stifling.

Please help! The stress is killing me. It's hard enough to have an uncooperative husband. Don't ask me about whether he cares for his kids or has any goals at all. He can say one thing and do another.

I live in Canada.

We are trying to buy a new Mobile Home which will be converted to real property. We are working with a very well known bank institution and have been approved for a construction loan. They are telling me that Builders Risk Insurance needs to be purchased before they can give us a final approval on the loan. I called the local insurance companies and they insist they do not cover it for Mobile Homes. I brought this to the banks attention over a month ago, yet they are still telling me I need to get Builders Risk Insurance. What do I do? Supposably the mobile home builders don't cover the Builders Risk Insurance or the contractor, so it's up to me. How does this usually work? Is the buyer usually the one responsible for this?

My wife and I are in the process of buying a house. We were able to get an 80/15/5 mortgage totalling about $450,000 with no problems since our credit scores are both in the 780s. However, when we applied for home insurance we got rejected. We were shocked to find out the "insurance" credit score in New Jersey is about 790 which is in the bottom 20%. We have never owned a home before and never filed a claim under renters insurance. I tried looking up an explanation online through truecredit.com and some of the reasons made no sense such as I have not had the same credit card for at least 18 years. That would have meant that I would have had to have a credit card since I was 16.

Can someone please explain the madness? The insurance agent, our real estate lawyer, and the bank have never heard of such an instance where the mortgage was no issue but the insurance due to credit is.
