Isnt a co-pay just that, a co-pay? I mean isnt that all your responsible for? Like if I go to the doctors I pay a co-pay of $25 and they dont bill me any difference. We have a $100 co-pay for emergency room visits but they always bill us the difference (like if deductible not met and 20%) I thought co-pay was it, just like at the doctors office. Next question is this. We have a Max individual $500 deductible with a $1500 Max family deductible. How can I be out (mine) an amount of $640 and total family met of $1643??? Does it sound like they are not processing claims right?? any info on these 2 questions would be appreciated.

My parents are getting older and starting to get health problems. I'm worried about medical/funeral costs and I don't know if they have insurance. We don't really talk about that stuff. Can I get insurance on them without talking to them about it--I really don't know how to bring it up to them. If it helps, they live in Alabama.

My husband was 'let go' because of age and the company was
downsizing. He has been in the insurance business for 35 years.
Lately he has become 'very' depressed because he's tried several leads which didn't work out.
Does anyone know how he can find work in Insurance, because
no one seems interested because of his age.
He is now 68, but in excellent health, very active and wants to keep working.
Many people have offered him positions but they have truned out to be a 'big' scam.
He has lost money from these 'so-called' previous offers.
He's a wonderful guy, a hard worker and really knows his work.
Most companies are not interested in hiring these 'old' folk,
and self employment is 'really' hard in the insurance business.
Can anyone give some advice.

I had a new patio cover installed on my screen room. It has leaked four times already (with every rain). The company has been out three times already to attempt to repair it with no avail. It is leaking bad. It floods the floor of my room and I have lost some stuff that I had to throw out from getting wet. Also, the compnay split my fascia upon installing and put caulking all over my brand new roof. Since, they can't fix it, I did not know if I should call my insurance company to file a claim because I obviously need a new cover. I just paid $4800 for this one a little under three months ago. I have photos and was planning on sending a certified letter to the company demanding they fix it this time or I will contact the BBB and take legal action. I am just worried that this will make them mad and they won't come out to fix it.

UNUM is trying to get me to pay over $61,000 in alleged overpayment of benefits and yet my CPA sees that UNUM underpaid my benefits and wrongfully terminated benefits. I do not trust the justice system since UNUM has deep pockets. So, what can I expect at my settlement conference?

When you win a lawsuit against the above because of breaking contracts, falseifeing documents, and breaking confidentiality why do their insurance companies take so long to pay up?
The district judge gave them 24 hours to pay us and they never done it.
Don't give me the BS about paper work.
Would you wait a month or what would you do?

My husband and I paid a huge fee to get our American Family Insurance health policy going. After months of being jerked around they finally told us that my husband is eligible for the coverage (although he's had numerous health issues), but that I was turned down due to the fact that I'm on probation (for something that has nothing whatsoever to do with health or insurance). I am completely healthy. Am I SOL because I'm on probation?
