I just finished an interview with the manager at a Marie's Calendar resteraunt. I think pretty much liked the fact that I was willing to work as a bus boy and work weekends and holidays. However I do not have any previous jobs for experience so she said I should have two people write me a letter of recommendation. Who should I have write me the letter?

I recently handed in an application for a job nearby, and within a week I got a call for an interview.

I thought the interview went extremely well, and the interviewer told me near the end of the interview that the call backs were going to happen maybe that same day or the next.

Right now it's the next day at about 3pm at the very moment. Should I be thinking to give up and continue my search, or wait out this entire day because I'm getting pretty anxious and filled with a lot of anxiety.

Did what he say happen to be a lie about the call backs just to make me feel better? Because it's not working!

I'm seriously thinking about calling back, but should I wait out this day and call tomorrow?

I'm pretty nervous waiting, what do you think is happening? What should I do?

I am applying for a job and I need to fill out my highest level of education. I am currently in college full time. I will have my bachelors degree after I finish my last 3 classes in the fall. The job I'm applying for asks what is my highest level of education. Can I put bachelors degree? The only other option that I have is "some college" which someone could put if they even only took 1 college class. Should I put "some college" or "bachelors degree"??

I'm trying to find a full-time job, but I'm having difficulty. I haven't worked in almost a month and I'm running low on money. I don't want to settle for a job that doesn't pay what I need or offer the benefits I want. I was thinking about getting a waitressing job in the mean time. I have years of experience. That's how I got through college.

Today, I applied to a few restuarants in my area. When they asked me my availablitiy, I said I was looking for something long term. I really needed the job, so I said it. It wasn't completely lying, b/c I don't know how long I'll be searching for a better position. But, what happens if 3 weeks down the road I get my dream job offer.

How do you graceful back out of a job you just got? I need money, so I had to do something.

I received an email from a company who stated that they saw my resume online and are considering me for a position as an office assistant online. We did an interview on instant messenger. I was hired for the position. I am supposed to start tomorrow. I will work 40 hours a week starting at 8 am. I was told that I would be paid $17/hr with a company check once per month so I wouldnt receive a check until 30 days from tomorrow. Is this a scam? They asked for no $ up front. They didnt ask for my social security number either.

I work at a bank and I'm not allowed to be on the internet, read, or talk to other co workers. I'm the only one that has to adhere to the rules. I swear I'm singled out. Everyone else can talk to other co workers but I am not. This is a very slow bank and alot of my time is spent staring at a wall. I hate this f!@# place.
The only time any of the officers acknowledge my existence is when they yell at me and the vice president likes to do it in front of everyone. There is obvious favortism here.

Okay, i have an interview tomorrow but im kinda nervous and not sure if im ready to go so soon. They said i could reschedule if I can't come in tomorrow, but will that hurt my chances of getting the job? I really need it but Im not sure I'll be ready by tomorrow...AND i don't have much experience, well, actually, this would be my first real job. Should I do a resume anyway? They said bring one if I have one but its pretty much okay if I dont. Thanks:)

I don't linke the computer industry and haven't found any personal interested in what my company is making and what is the industry is heading to. I had a degree in electrical engineer, but never enjoyed my classes. After working as a engineer for half an year, I quickly switched to hightech sales. However, the companies i worked were all started ups and I had horrible experiences with the micromanagement type enviroment. I got very stressed out from work, and go home with bad tempers. My husband suggested me to pursue a different career cz it is not worth to stay somewhere I am not happy at all. I always like and have great patient with children, and think preschool teacher will be a great career for me. However, from the research I've done, the job incentives are not very high. I am hoping after a few years, I can start my own day care. Is there anyone has experience starting their own day care center? Do you think i am taking a risk switching from high paid job to a low paid one?

People are celebrating when some coworkers were fired.. saying it out loud. even when the girl called to ask about what possesions she had left..this guy said FIRED!!~!! and laughed.

By the way we are all temp workers.

All my coworkers using profanity all the time, sexual comments and 2 of them are into hip hop and put the music to hip hop all the time even if one of us have put it in another station.

And then they starting now playing around with rubberbands, shooting them at eachother. These are 20+ year olds, by the way.

I'm not gonna be the one educating them so i say nothing but it bothers me and with the noise, and horsing around i can't concentrate or do my job.

The boss/supervisor we have..uhhhmm... NEVER there. so she doesn't even supervise. She's always in meetings and doing legal stuff since she is manager of a mental health residential place.

should i talk to the temp agency and tell or tell the boss or suck it up? temp agency says we should act Proffesiol but
