I don't know what college to choose or major in what field. I like to work with computers because I'm really good with them. Maybe someone can give me advice on what to do or what to major in.

Since you mentioned that you are just starting college, maybe you could just focus on your base, general education courses right now and take some time to explore different majors. It sounds like you don't have to make a decision about a major immediately. If you feel weak in math (or any other subject) get to student services and take the time to get some extra help. It will really help and you won't feel so frustrated. Also, check out your college's career center. They usually have great information about majors and potential jobs for the majors. Most of all, relax, give yourself some time. You'll get there!

(umm, why do some answerers feel the need to dump on people who have legitimate questions?)

It sounds like you already have some idea of where your aptitude lies, but it never hurts to actually take an aptitude test. There are probably some online ones that can do a fair job of helping you narrow things down.

Also, you might try having a "gap" year or two between highschool and college. During that time, try to do some work that you think you might like. At the same time, talk to as many people as possible - do "informational interviews" with them -- most people, if they have time, LOVE to talk about their work if they like what they're doing, and sometimes they'll even talk about it if they don't like it (also valuable info!).

Last, don't let some show-off spoil your zeal for working in teh computer industry. My guess is that person wasn't born knowing how to set up a network.

Get a degree in Accounting. The pay is OK for the amount of effort involved. And, there are good long-term prospects (you can get your CPA, for example).
