Advertising turns off some people. They say that it insults their intelligence, and advertising claims are often untrue. Advertising is just used to 'sell thenm something".
Others argue that advertising is beneficial and actually provides value for consumers.

I live in a medium sized city where soccer is really popular from kindergarden all the way to adult. I have a website that has information about EVERYTHING soccer related in my city from tournaments/results to registration, classified ads, help wanted ads, high school player bios, youth coaching info- you name it, I've got it. I get around 10k hits a day on average and up to 50k a day during tournaments and other events. I have a great demographic to advertise to: Middle-upper class adults (including soccer moms and dads), teenagers, and some youth.
Would you be willing to buy ad space on a site of that nature with that demographic if you were a business in my city?

I have ownership of a domain name. let's call it WebX.co.uk - unfortunately someone else has the equivalent .com extension - in this case we'll call it WebX.com.

What can I do to take ownership of the first ten Google search results if someone types WebX ?
I want legal but sneaky techniques.

Should I link WebX.com to link farm sites so Google penalises that address? Or buy all the other WebX extensions and link to each other? Or work really hard to create useful sites and get other sites to link to mine?

For example, would a .es domain be better for google.es

Or would a .co.uk domain be better for google.co.uk?

if you have a .com domain, can you optimize it for google.es , google.co.uk or does google prefer domain name extensions from the same area?

Also... would it matter where the site is hosted? Or does Google only look at the domain itself?

Hi i posted up an auction for a jacket i wanted to sell on ebay, and i chose the "calculate shipping" option for the shipping and everything. So if someone wins my auction what do i do with my jacket? Take it to my local Post office or something?

I know there r a lot of free programs , but not sure I have the time or the desire to go thru them & see what ones I think i can manage. I also am not sure how much time it takes 2 pull a site together...I am busy and don't know if I have the time 2 dedicate 2 designing my own site. I expect 2 get quite a lot of traffic. I am a faux finisher, just starting 2 blow up professionally in my area (Mass.) I need a web presence to make myself look more professional & legit to the contractors and especially the architects,& large construction firms I deal with. I need 2 really showcase my projects & designs. Also I am an instructor for some plaster products & will be retailer for others so people will be coming 2 my site after being directed from these product sites. Should be fairly simple .. I don't need guestbook or anything, just a pretty site that showcases my photos, maybe with a slideshow maybe not, and a contact me email link.

I'm still in university but I would like to start my translation business (as a freelancer) this summer. I live in The Netherlands and will be providing translations in English, Spanish and Dutch. I would like to do business internationally therefore the name has to be easy in most languages. It does not necessarily have to reflect the business that I'm in, it can also be a non-existing but catchy word.
