I am conducting some market research. I would like to know if a floor plan layout would help sell a house. If you have looked through estate agent websites before, did you see any with floor plan layouts, were they useful? A simple 'Yes' or 'No' will do, but would be great if you could give a little more feedback! Thanks!

I found two listed on line. One was St Sebastian and the other was Boscos. I applied for info from both quite a bit ago and havent heard anything, so Im assuming that they dont take enquiries all that serious. So any ideas beyond those two would be greatly appreciated.

My wife and myself recently had a small apartment fire. The fire itself caused very little damage, some scorch marks on the ceiling that come right off. The sprinkler system and the firemen, on the other hand, caused quite a bit of damage: they tore a huge swath of carpeting up to help pool the water, sawed part of our sliding door frame out to make an outlet for the water off the balcony, knocked our toilet out to make a drain. a great deal of our things are ruined.

we dont have renters insurance, but we can eat the damages to our personal property. however, our landlord is telling us that they dont have any insurance either, and that were responsible for all damages done by the fire, the firemen, the sprinkler system, and other misc charges, such as the alarm system guy and elevator technician coming out.

im trying to get in touch with a tenant's union here in seattle, but since theyre volunteer run organizations theyre slow to respond. does the landlord's story sound strange

Rather than ask our parents for help, we're thinking of biting the bullet and pay our mortgage late. Besides the obvious late charge, what's going to happen? How badly damaged was your credit? What was your experience? What did you do?

I signed a year's lease and have fulfilled 4 months thus far of the lease. When we moved in, my son was doing pretty well, but due to a lot of noise and people loitering outside of our apartment his problems have continued to deteriorate. We have had the police out twice and the security guard out numerous times and I have that all documented. My son's doctor wrote a long note explaining to my apartment that if my son continues to live there his situation will deteriorate. Does anyone know if we can get out of our lease based on this situation? Please only answer if you have some experience in this situation and don't just give your opinion. We are in a desperate situation and need some answers now. Thanks much.

My husband's uncles sent us $500. I put it in my savings account and apparently my bank had closed my bank account and transferred the money back into my checking and I didn't realize it b/c they did it the same day my pay check was deposited. I spent it on bills. Any ideas on how to get $500 quick?

I'm trying to setup a new business. I have been up and running for about 3 weeks now.

I am providing a floor plan service to estate agents. Basically I draw a digital scaled floor plan layout of a property for them to upload to their website as an advertising tool. After doing a bit of research it seems that about 10% of estate agents have floor plans of their properties on their website.

The main point about my business is that it has been completely free to setup... so far.

I have a free website - www.cad-complete.co.uk , free email hosting - info@cad-complete.co.uk , I have all the needed software and hardware donated by a friend. I have all the required experience gained over the years as a CAD technician. I have listed my website on several free business listings. BUT I HAVE NO CUSTOMERS! :(

So the question is really this - how do I get estate agents to firstly know about my service and secondly want to use it!? I have emailed many UK estate agents without any replies yet.

Ive just realised theres a huge scam right under my nose. My £100,000 house costs me say 6% each year to pay back say if this is the base rate. Now if inflation is say, 2%, Im paying 4% over the odds. Who gets the profit. Is the bank of England actually owned by the government so effectively get the high interest payment? or where do all our interest payments really go?
Ive also wondered why other commercial institutions dont undercut the base rate becase when it goes high because companies could actually still make profit lending at a lower rate?
Its now dawned on me that people who buy houses out right can make a profit, but those with a mortgage are 'forced' with a base rate that is now twice the rate of infation. SO WHERE ARE ALL THESE INTEREST PAYMENTS GOING??? Is the government raking in all the interest?
Ive never thought of this point before but Im begining to realise someone must be getting rich while Im getting poor with my £1000 a month interest payments!

In our research about foreclosure property and the opportunities that may exist to get another home at a good or discounted price, we read lots of material that touts the advantages. Just for once, would someone give us an honest, balanced, list of possible disadvantages or "cons" we need to bear in mind?

The lender can't charge me for the time they took to get me aproved for a loan, but feels they can charge me for UPS overnight fees, credit report, and some underwriting fees. I swtiched lenders because the one I had could not do the job in a timely manner that we needed before closing. Thanks for your help.
