Im a university student and its really hard for me to make an income while maintaining my marks. Does anyone know any evening - part time job positions/titles that require any work, if any? Basically I'm looking for a job where I can study and also get paid at the same time. I wouldn't mind doing a little work if I would get the rest of the night to study.

recieved this assignment and we just began this class and have not discussed anything like this. I am so lost! ANY help would be appreciated.... Below is the assignment:

MARKETING MANAGEMENT

CASE: Advanced Furniture Systems

Advanced Furniture Systems (AFS), a division of Conglomerated Diversified Industries (CDI), produces and sells a complete line of office furniture, equipment, and related products. Large organizations represent major potential customers and are served by a direct sales force. A separate sales force calls on a selected group of distributors who serve smaller organizations' needs. AFS sales for the current year are expected to reach $700 million, with direct marketing expenses budgeted for $100 million. Variable contribution margin for the product line is 20%.

CDI has distributed a corporate planning memo suggesting that increases of up to 15% in divisional marketing budgets might be possible in the next fiscal year. Industry s Industry sales for office furniture in the U.S. are expected to reach $13 billion in the current year with a ten percent increase next year*. These gains follow industry sales decreases in three of the preceding four years.

If AFS were to plan for a 15% increase in its marketing budget, what sales volume would be required to cover this increase? What would be the required sales volume, if an additional $3 million in total contribution was required for the 15% budget increase? What impact would these increases have on AFS needed market share?

Prepare a memo to AFS Executive Management Team (EMT) which answers the above questions. Include in this memo your recommendation for next year's marketing budget.

I asked this in real estate also...but we are interested in buying some property in Oklahoma, but couldn't locate the owner...after some digging we found that they owe 4 years of back taxes on the place. If we want to purchase it do we have to buy the certificate from the tax lien company or speak with the owner? Any help would be great!! Thanks!

My mom is 55 and has a dismal amount of savings for retirement. She just started putting in the minimum match on her 401k ~5~ years ago at my urging. She has no savings and is living from month to month. I'm 22 and making far more than I'm spending, and paying 10% into my own 401k. I want to open a retirement account in her name to supplement her social security. What's the best way to do it in her name, and whats the best type of account for this situation?

Also, if she averaged 50,000 a year for the past 30 years, what can she expect from social security when it comes time to retire?

This is a second home. I have owned the land for 20 years. My husband and I literally built this house ourselves. I am thinking of selling but not if I have to pay the IRS $125,000 of my blood, sweat, and tears. So what I want to know is what is the tax percentage on $300,000.
And also is there any sneeky way to get out of Capitol Gain.
