Does donating to charities count as spending? Lots of it would go there, plus AIDS and stem cell research.

A number of houses in various countries, and travel thereto.
I'd construct a theater that paid its actors well and had low prices for audiences.
Set up some scholarship programs for girls.

NEVER: I WOULD SPEND ONE BILLION AT THE MOST. The rest would be in investments at 2% return a year on 19 billion, I would have 380 Million dollar a year income. The rest of the world can kiss off.

If I was required to spend it all I would tie it up in bank bonds, at 2%. That should take about 2- 6 months to get all the paper work done.

It would take several generations if I did it right.

Investments would include real estate in developing nations, where I would sponsor local artists' cooperatives, and export exclusive lines of goods to burgeoning markets in industrialized nations. This is how I would develop my fashion empire.

I would make sure my homes were energy self-sufficient, using solar and wind. There would be greenhouses and jacuzzis, as well as aquaculture.

I would sponsor competitions to find talent in the areas of design, music, fashion and media. I would hire the best to market my fashion empire.

I would give a certain percentage to deserving educational institutions that teach mutual respect for all cultures and living beings.

I would pay someone to pretend they were me, and I would remain pedestrian and anonymous.

If I had to spend it - simple, I could get rid of it pretty quickly. If not required, it would take more than my lifetime to spend.

New house, second house, third house, new cars, artwork, charity, travel, and some Twinkies.
