This is so annoying, why are we forced to pay for benefits we don't need anymore. We were told that we have to wait until open enrollment until he can take me off of his plan. Benefits at my company are free to the employee, so atleast we don't have to pay two premiums.

Ok, I am in a quandry. I am one of the top independent escorts in my area and I am making good money at it. The problem, my activities arn't exactly legal, so I can't exactly say " this is where my income is coming from", but then, also I could get in trouble with the IRS because I have a lot of income coming into my bank account in cash. So it's a catch-22. How can I get around this?

Hi! My husband and I have been to Erie only once (driving through), but we fell in love with the area. We are thinking about relocating there after college graduation (next year). This will be a long distance move, so it will be hard for us to visit too many times. I wonder what the job market is like, and housing availability. How family-friendly is the town? What historical/cultural things are there? I read the travel brochures and websites, but I would rather hear it from someone who is a native. Thank you!

i am a student and do this part time, i only made about $7000 last year by checks, i was told if i did not receive 1099 forms from the businesses i did work for, there is no record of my work sent to the government so its not necessary to claim these. i also saw for certain cases if income is not more than 8500, you do not need to file, last i saw that is my deductibles exceed my earnings, theres no need to file, i saw that you automatically get a 5000 + 3000 filing as a single and then i have over 1000 dollars more worth of clear deductibles, so should i file? and if i do, i shouldnt end up paying anythign anyway right?

My mother-in-law and I have decided to start our own small business. We will be making soy candles, shea butters, lotions, body washes, soaps and various other items. We are having trouble coming up with a name. I have decided to use the triquetra in our logo. The triquetra is from my favorite show, Charmed. I also like "Charmed", so I wanted to try to use that in my business name. We are having alot of trouble coming up with something unique! Any ideas? Thank you!

Like when I'm new on a job, someone will take me under their wing almost every time and then eventually they'll talk bad about the boss and company and other people, while seeming to be the good guy around there and for a while I will believe this to be true and then time shows the truth in most situations but by that time I have formed opinions of people and put up my walls and then I usually end up not liking or trusting anybody in the whole office except maybe a few that I probably don't work close with. Most people for whatever reason will be short-tempered with me or antagonizing, try to make me look bad to others...the list goes on and I tend to take things too personally because I can't understand why people want to be nasty when I am nice to them. Some people are just insecure and unhappy with themselves and I know this is part of the reason. I am a co-dependent personality so I worry about these people and why they are that way until the point of great tension and then I quit.

I am recently married and my wife filed her taxes for the first time last year (we were not married then) and she was suppose to get a refund but the IRS took 90% of her return back.

If I file jointly with her this year, will the IRS take my money as well? How do I know that the 90% they took is all she owed the IRS?

How can I get my maximum refund but not be in jeopardy of losing it? I reside in New York City by the way.

I discovered inaccuracies in my credit report (medical collections). When I wrote to dispute them, I asked for specific information including the name of the original creditor, the specific service that was provided, an itemization of the charges, the date of service, any amount of the original balance that was paid by insurance, and copies of any document bearing my signature agreeing to pay for the charges.
When they responded all they sent me was a list of account numbers and account balances. Do I have a right to the requested information, and if not provided, do they not have to remove the items from my report? I do not feel as if they have provided sufficient evidence of the debt.
I would appreciate any guidance I could get. Thanks

I bought a home in Mar 2004 and rented it out 1/1/2006 for 5 months and ending up evicting the tenant and sold it 9/15/06. I'm getting ready for taxes and wanted to know, do I have to depreciate my home? I took a good loss on the home so there is no capital gains whatsoever.
