I was told that there is a form you can fill out. I have a friend that really needs his tax return this year. Does anyone know how to help?

This only works for those who are married filing jointly. The other spouse can compute their tax refund by completing an extra form, attach it to the joint return and have their part of the refund sent to them. However, if he is single there is nothing he can do.

No I don't think there is any form he can fill out, if they have the lien on his return then he obviously owes back child support and personally I think the money should go to the kids.

If he owes back support then he should pay it. He should not get the check, the kids come first. They told my husband that they didn't care if he lived in his car as long as his child support is paid!! How does he think that child and mother felt when they needed the money real bad and he didn't pay it like he was suppost to?

I hate to say it, but he should be owning up to his responsibility and supporting his child.
