My parents claim me as a dependent. My earnings for the year are from my WORK-STUDY job -- $1850. I am looking at "Chart B - For Children and Other Dependents" on the IRS 1040EZ Instructions page http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040ez.pdf.

It says I must file a return if ANY of the following apply:
--- my UNEARNED INCOME was over 850
--- my EARNED INCOME was over 5150
--- my GROSS INCOME was more than the LARGER of
-------------$850, or
-------------my earned income (up to 4850) plus $300

My only income for the year was the money I received from my work study job and that was only 1850. I don't have any unearned income.

I don't think I have to file a return but I was hoping I could get some help from people who are more sure of this matter.

Basically, I am a single, 19 year old college student, claimed as a dependent by my parents, without any dependents to claim of my own, and I have $1850 from my work-study job in 2006 as my only earnings.

I have read that you can possibly get charges (for going overdrawn) refunded, dating back six months as it is illegal for banks to do this. Does anyone know how you go about this? (England only please)

I have had problems from day one. Ready to file NASD complaint for not giving me interest on Money Market Accounts. Manager refuses to answer emails ever since I asked him to stop talking around the problem. I cannot believe that I am the only one with this problem, and if I'm right, they will have to restate earnings.

My cousin works where. they have meetings once a week. At one of these meetings, everyone was required to stand on a table, shout the comapny's name and RAH RAH RAH!!!! She refused to do so, as she has trouble with her back and didnt feel up to climbing on top of a table. She is also a VERY refined person, but she did join in the cheers while standing next to the tables. There were about 10 people at this meetng, all got up on tables except for her. I used to work for this company myself, and they did do some strange things but this a little too much. Has anyone ever heard of this? Or is she exaggerating? One weird exercise I had to do was stand with our eyes closed and allow a coworker to approach us(we would not know who it was) and lead us around the room. I was very uncomfortable with this and was very happy not to be picked, just to watch. I am not a touchy feely person. Why do companies do stuff like this? Why are people becoming so much like sheep??

Yes, it is a political question, because the New Dems will be passing the minimum wage increase soon.
I read news from different parts of the country, and during my perusing, I found a paper that covers a small section of Eastern Ohio.
Ohio passed a state minimum wage increase. The paper interviewed small businesses and most said they have already eliminated at least one employee from the payroll, have cut back on employee hours, and raised prices. One small family owned restaurant has already raised their menu prices by fifty cents per meal, and many others are still crunching the numbers. A subway sub shop has increased thier price twenty cents per sandwich. Ohio's new minimum wage is still below the proposed federal minimum, Ohio's new minimum also calls for annual cost of living increases, the fed doesn't.
How much devastation will the Federal increase cause to the common American worker, and American Small Businesses?

We are over 45 days late on the payments. We've had no luck selling the vehicle by owner or by brokers online. We've tried everything to get rid of it. Has anyone got any advice or recomendations? Would "voluntary termination" of the lease be applicable? Is there such thing as a voluntary repossion?
