It depends. If I was a social person I would continue to work for wages to be around the public. If I needed to feel good about myself and wanted to help others I'd volunteer. If I had any interests, I would continue to pursue them in my free time or on weekends just as I do now. My life would not be changed very much by having money. It would just make it a little bit easier to do the things I want to do.

Since I'm relatively young yet, (and a million isn't that much in the large scheme of things) I'd invest the money and let it grow for 15 to 20 years. In the meantime, I'd continue working my regular job. Then, I'd retire early and use that million (and some change) to live off of for the rest of my life.

I would still work for money, pretend to be a normal middle class american and invest most of it in mixed securities.
