Here is a nice little calculator. If you are talking about state tax try the Franchise Tax Board

Try the California State Board of Equalization.

Basically there is 7.25% statewide tax with various county taxes added to that, so in Orange County for instance it is 7.75% while in LA county it is 8.25%.
