I collect base ball cards and was thinking of looking on ebay for a good one for that much and sell them back strategically to make 2000. Then buy 1500$ collection and sell to make 3000$, and so on. Anyone else have a better idea?

My wife and I found a great place that we love and we really want out of our apartment. We found this place on a foreclosure website, but every website that we've looked at has a fee just to look at the details of this house. So does anyone know what we need to do to get this house? Do we talk to a realtor? Do they take care of the bidding and what not? Do we get preapproved for a mortgage first?

Any help would be appreciated.

I really want to quit my job, but I haven't found another job yet. I'd like to know if quitting before you get a new job will lower your chances or not. Please give me some insight.

My family may be moving there. Tell me where I should look to rent an apartment or home since I have two small kids. If you have any other tips, they are welcome too (such as good restaurants, good stores, etc.)

My fiancee started working at Target about 2 months ago doing the 4am stock shift. It was going great until one of the managers decided he didnt like him and began harrassing him non stop. He pulled him aside one day to tell him that his peers were laughing at him. He suspended him for wandering around because he brought an empty pallet back to the back room. He is constantly doing similar things and being generally rude and unproffesional but to list them all would take too long. My fiancee has been working hard and has tried everything he can to make this guy happy and can't figure out what he did to deserve this treatment. He is being treated completely unfairly, and this one manager is the only one with a problem. He has tried contacting even the corporate office but just gets the run around. I was under the impression that the better business bureau is only for consumer complaints, is there somewhere that a complaint can be made about an employer?

It is assumed you are the problem and get called on the carpet. In actuality the boss is not hearing about all the crap the person reporting you dishes out because you are not interested in keeping score and being a tattle tale. How does one protect themselves from that type of person?

I have been teaching English in Asia for 4 years now. Before, I was a Natural ADABAS analyst/programmer for 5 years. Is there any hope for me to return to the Natural ADABAS world after an absence of 4 years? I feel confident in myself, but I don't know if the companies would feel the same way (because of the absence of 4 years). I love programming and analysing problems and designing solutions for them.

I have not filed my taxes in about 6 years... in that time i had a levy or two, but now I need to make things right. Should I call the IRS and throw myself at their mercy or visit a tax lawyer first? I don't have any documentation for those years either, and I know I would probably need it. (Example - the IRS used to double-count rent I received from rental property, and I dont have the 1099s to prove it now...)

I don't know what alternatives I have, if any, because I truly fear not getting treated fairly (I used to get audited yearly before I "checked out"). My finances, and back taxes, are a complete mess (I didn't pay on any credit cards or loans for 6 years either). I visited the CCCS about my consumer debt and have a manageable plan to pay that off, but that is not with the IRS "wildcard" and the payments I may owe to them. I have no idea where to even begin to get my financial life back in order. Where should I begin?

I'm in the process of getting my first card and I heard (from an unreliable source) that it is not a good idea to pay your balance IN FULL each month, but to stick to just paying your minimum balance or higher instead in order to build credit. Is this true? I ask because in an effort to avoid overspending, I was thinking of just like buying a 30 dollar carton of cigarettes each month and then once the bill comes to just pay the whole thing off...but then I heard that was not a good idea.

In ye olden days, I may have fancied piracy on the open seas, but now I am more interested in finding respectable employment that includes travel, conflict ( I am highly risk tollerant) and community development.
Pay range 40K and up.
I also possess a shiny new BA in Communications.
'Wouldn't mind using it.
*Thank you for your input*.

How much would a husband and wife with 2 children and a cat need to make yearly to have a nice lifestyle. Just a nice size home in a good neighborhood, new vehicles, yearly vacation and not having to wory about money all the time.

We aren't looking for an extravagant lifestyle. Just a 9-5 type lifestyle where we can comfortably raise our family and have money for retirement.

Neither of us want high stress jobs that take away from family life. Family, NOT money, is most important to us. My husband works at a bank and is thinking of going back to school. I am majoring in psychology . We are in our early 20's, no children yet.

How much would we need to make yearly (household income) to achieve this?

I know it varies, but is there a rough estimate? Especially when there is a big variance between the assessed value and the asking price?
