My father and I have a shipping store called Pak-Mail. It's located in the plaza of a major grocery store, but doesn't receive a lot of business. What are some strategic, cost-effective ways to promote ourselves? Thanks in advance

If I have too many credit cards, and want to cancel the ones that I hardly use because of crappy interest rates, does that ruin my credit? What if you have a lot of cards, all with no balances? Does that make your credit go down?

My fiance and I have recently been thinking about buying a home after we get married. We are renting an apartment until August 2007, so we have plenty of time. I've heard many mixed messages when it comes to down payments and whether or not they make a difference on your monthly payment - and if so, it can be 5-6 dollars even. What advice can someone provide to a first time homebuyer when it comes to downpayments and mortgages?

and they go to redeem it or buy something with it then they also get charged tax? Would it be cheaper just to give them cash, although it wouldn't look as nice.

I figure that if the person is married, their spouse becomes resposible for paying any debts left behind, but what happens if this person is unmarried? Do their children inherit the debt? Do the companies simply consider the money lost forever?

I am in the business of flipping houses for profit in az. i am buying a house that the former owner died in. Am I legally obligated to indulge this information to prospective buyers? If you do not know what flipping houses means I can tell you real quick. I buy houses for cash and refurbish them to sell for a profit. This particular house I got cheap due to the death of the former owner. I am not sure if Az has a law that requires me to tell perspective buyers about his death in the home. He died of natural causes. If you can help me I would be ever so greatful.

I am almost finished paying my house. I was wondering if I should make repairs on my single family home or just rebuild it. I am thinking about a two flat. My home needs to have the washroom re-done. My basement does not have a tall enough ceiling. My house also does not have central air.

I have a month-to-month lease on my house. It states that "This Agreement and the tenancy hereby granted may be terminated at any time by either party hereto by giving to the other party not less than one full month's notice in writing." I have looked up the definition of a month, and it is one calendar date until the same calendar date in the next month. I gave my landlord my notice today, and he is trying to tell me that I have to pay for the entire month of January. Is there anything I can do about this?

Its Christmas time again and the cards are maxed out. I have 3 credit cards ranging from $500 to $2000. Should I focus on paying off the one with the smaller amount even though the interest is less than the one with the larger amount. The $500 can be paid off in no time but it of course has the lower interest rate. Which is my best plan of attack?

Car is okay for now, but work is driving me crazy and I'm the type who can't stand sitting around doing nothing, even getting paid for it. This is all we're doing right now. It's making me literally ill. I'm going back to work tomorrow, and I really was having some serious probs with my car.
