We moved to a neighborhood and about 3 months after moving here, the SWAT team showed up next door and surrounded the building because of a drug dealer. We want to move because we don't feel safe. I read in one of my landlord books that a landlord cannot force a tenant to pay the remaining rent on a broken lease. Is this true? What if we break a lease because of safety issues? We thought we just heard a gunshot about 10 minutes ago.

I need to write a 15 page paper and deliver a 10 minute speech about some problems a business is facing and some possible solutions. I need information that is readily available so I can write this paper and I also need a well known company. I'm not very familiar with General Motors and would prefer to stay away from writing my paper on them. Any ideas? (and thank you for your help)

i got a message on my answering machine that went as follows: "this is a message for jason (last name). by continuing to listen to this message you are acknowledging that you are jason (last name) this is angela smith, a debt collector calling from asset acceptance...." my wife heard this message before i had a chance to play it and was wondering if she is allowed to disclose that information on an answering machine. if not, i need to know which laws were violated and what kind of recourse i can take.

A literary Agent would look at your work and decide to take you on as a client. Then try to sell your stuff and only get paid if he/she did sell it. Am I correct and if so, where do I find one.

How do businesses get their inventory cheaper for resale? If you want to sell specialty and unusual things, how can you get them at wholesale price when they're only sold at a high retail price in catalogs?

I hate this. If you are the boss and you have something to say why not just say it. She stays at work until 5pm and I leave at 4:30 I can't figure out why she leaves note at my desk to get in the morning when I get there. We are there together all day. I think this is poor mamagement. It's not even that they are notes telling me I did something wrong or anything like that. Just to ask me if I changed my voice mail and little things. I also find things out that are being done wrong and bring them to her attention and durning the meetings she presents them as if they are her own, or doesn't even say anything about it. I will not tell her anything any more and watch me get in trouble for it. I have been told that after we move to our own building that I will get my own account . I'm nervus to be a boss if I have to lie to my coworkers, and act like that. I am begining to think that this is mandatory if you are going to be a boss/manager........ It sucks!! Why can't they just be honest?

I am trying to rent my home. This is the first time I am trying to do this, and I would like to have some help from people who have been there. Does anyone have a good rental contract that they can send me? I am renting from the state of Texas, so I do not know if they do it differently. I have to move out of state because of the military, so I will not be able to be around the property. I know that a property manager would be the best bet, but I do not think that I can afford that. If you got any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. lampasashome@hotmail.com Thanks again!

OK, last year, I had over $1,000 in church tithes. I gave it to the woman who did my taxes for last year, and she said the amount had to be $5,000 or more to be counted. My question is, can I count that money from last year toward this year's taxes, if I do them myself over the Internet?

I don't want to get audited or get arrested over this, I'd just like to know. Thank you.

I have a question about letter # 3 "Request to delete inaccurate information.

If an item is inaccurate, do you have to give a reason why?

Or can you just say it's inaccurate?

The credit bureaus have to tell you why it is accurate right?
