They call you and tell you they are fraud prevention for your credit card company, ask for your pin on the back of your card and say that a company has taken money out of your credit card account and that they are "fixing" it. If you get this call, tell you will call your company right away and see what's going on. Don't give them any info at all.

I make 25K a year. I work hard, and provide a valuable service
to society. Yet I know others make much more. I personally feel
many of them are overpaid. They have their Audi's and new homes, and cushy jobs. It upsets me, I have to admit.

What is your experience with bosses?
Bosses feel free to explain why a little power goes to your head or is it all that responsibility?

While on a business trip to Sydney, I learned of Long Service Leave. It sounded like an outstanding benefit. Of course, in the USA, we have nothing like it.

This benefit is required under law, correct?

Also, do you believe that it works, i.e. creates loyalty between employer and employee?

I work at a job that provides great pay AND benefits (much better then I did as a teacher).

I feel as if I am going mad (well "mad" might be a a bit overstating it,)

however.

I like working with people that involve caring for others (that's why I chose teaching, but I couldn't pay my bills) and in turn ALSO are supportive of the people they work with.

This is not the scenario of this position.

As a secondary part to this question: IF you did say yes to "have any of you felt "displaced" at a job?," answer this queation:

"What did you do to resolve it?"

I WILL tell you that I am not looking for responses that advise ME what to do. I also don't want to hear that I am being negitive.

I love to work, and I plan to work the rest of my life.. I just want to be true to what I need.

I have been at this job for 6 years and have a hard time believing that this is all there is.

Thank you for your responses.

I've started looking around, but I'm not sure whether to go for the lowest interest rate, lowest fees or what. I doubt that I will be able to make any payments until I get home, so I need something that can last me 6 months without payments.
I have no idea, where to start so any help would be greatly appreciated. (I live in Aust and m travelling to Europe if that makes a difference)

Last week our boss was gone on vacation. One of the people who is the head of our shop (manufacturing) (who doesn't do much but stand around) decided that he was going to build himself a coffee table out of the companies scrap material. He built it on work time (after all he just stands around anyway) with extra "scrap", and also used company sand paper and stain to finish it out (that's not scrap). I don't work out in the shop (my husband does, he's the one who saw it) and I don't know if I should say anything or not. I consider it to be stealing but I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to cause problems (because my husband told me and I didn't see it for myself) and my husband won't say anything... Should I?
On another occasion this same person was seen at work on a Saturday (he has a key) and told the office manager he was making a scratching post for his girlfriends cat. She thought it was just the greatest thing and told the owner, I don't think he had much to say.

Assume I am over 60 but under 95. I am looking to withdraw my annuity over a given time, say 10 years, but the money used to initiate the annuity and deposits (the principle) were all paid with after-tax dollars. What will I have to do to ensure that I do not have to pay taxes on this portion of my withdrawal again??

I am actually asking this question on behalf of another, in case that was not already apparent.

just wondering, i know there is alot of people who wish they could invest in real estate as it is a great investment market. I wish wondering if you would invest in a company that invests in real estate for you?
So like lets say the company has all these listings of different real estate projects they are going to buy and you can pick from one. So maybe there is 100 acres they are going to buy at 100,000 dollars. you would be able to invest 1000 dollars in this property threw this company, so realisticly you would on 1 percent of the propety threw the company. then maybe in a year the company would sell the property and get 200,000 for it. you would then get back 2000 dollars. 1000 for the investment and 1000 dollars profit.
would this be something you would do to invest in real estate or you think others would do? of course it would be a legal corporation not like some side business.
I am just wondering as myself would love to invest in realestate but dont have the money.
Thanks!

i am not asking about why he will do it(need for security in example) but what are the trigers and motives that he will enter that office, why didnt he get there a day earlier, or a day after?
if it were you, can you remember what made you do the move(sunny day, good mood, bad mood, color of your socks) , if you know an article that discusses this, please give me a reference.
