Anywhere from 35 to 40 hours a week, depending on who you work for. My paid work week was 35 hours a week, except in the summer, when it was 33.5 hours a week - lots of unpaid work hours though. However, if you work in certain industries in the private sector the paid work week can be considerably longer, but if you work in non-unionized jobs your work week may be short enough so that the employer doesn't have to pay benefits.
