Because they are required to have a CDL truck driving license it is higher than many other jobs for lower educated people. Because they must be on time to work and leave early often put in over time it is often better than many local construction jobs. Because it has benefits if you are hired full time it is better than many construction jobs. Because many people give tips if you do a good job all year long at Christmas sometimes they can buy a nice Christmas for the family. But I would go to school get a good education because it can be dangerous men have been known to die in the job locally. 15 years ago for people who had worked awhile it was 20 an hour in St. Petersburg. I know locally it is more than ten a hour. Yes waste management is what they call it locally.

It depends on where you live. There is a wide range. When I lived in Ohio, the city I was in paid around $20 an hour to start.

I am now in Alabama and they only pay around $12 here.
