If I want to work part time as a certified tax preparer during tax season, what degree do I need? Certificate or Bachelors?
How much could I expect to earn compared to the cost of a student loan, in other words, is the degree a wise investment for this job?

I have decided NOT to get my son his vaccinations. I am not comfortable putting chemicals in to his body and feel that since most diseases can be treated after they are contracted it is better to allow his immune system to develop a natural immunity. Does any one have any thoughts on where I could find ininformation about the negative effects of vaccens?? Or do you have any other thoughts?

Hello my girlfriend owes about $30,000 on a school loan which has a 19% interest rate, She got suckered into one of those art schools for fashion and graphic design but cannot get a job now.

Question, is it possible to take out a loan or combination of loans to pay of the school loan and or file bankruptcy? Or will there be some kind of trace or signature identifying the debt as school loan debt. I am in no financial situation to pay off 30k in loans off. Other factors are we have virtually no assets other than my car which is worth maybe $8000.

If she were to file bakruptcy prior to getting married would it affect my credit or just hers? and any suggestions on what route to take would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

i need a place to live. i maintain school and work, both full time in riverside, CA. I need a rent range from $0- $300. thats my budget.

I know its pretty much impossible, but with all of my other bills, this is all i can afford right now. I have checked almost every apartment search yahoo/google offer.

If you know of a not-so-advertised website I can go to, to look up places, I would appreciate it...

Thank you

i took up medicine for 10 years,I enrolled on and off, failed in some subjects, now i have one year to go but i had to stop because i don't like being on call. I must admit, i went to medical school because my parents paid for it, i have no concrete career plans, and i like the fact that i'm given allowance everyday, its for the convenience really, but i don't want it as a career. Now, im in my 30s, i wanted to strike on my own, but i find it hard to look for a job, because they are looking for a job exoerience, and i really have none because i was in school for most of the time. How could i convince employers i'm qualified for the job? i'm just starting on a career in my 30s.

Trying to learn more about Credit Default Swaps (CDS).

Example I saw on Wikipedia had an institutional investor buying a high-yield bond, then entering into a CDS to protect himself in case the bond issuer defaults. Of course, the CDS has a cost, which reduces the yield of the bond.

My question is: what is the benefit of this to the investor? Why not just buy a lower-yielding bond from a more credit-worthy issuer?

What am I missing?
