My invention is partially an add on or can be considered an improvement to a previous invention. I'd like to know where do I begin the process? Do I send a proposal to the CEO? Do I send the actual invention via spreadsheets and/or outlines?

I wish I could remember the source, but basically, analysis was done on a set amount ($1000) over 20 years. The $1000 invested between November and April (winter/spring) showed steady growth over the years, but money invested from April-November (summer/autumn) showed almost no growth at all. Is this hogwash? Or is there some validity to it? If valid, where should one invest money from April to November (summer/autumn)?

where are some places you could work as an accountant? i am looking for more of a relaxed place with a smart casual dress code, not a fast-paced place where you have to wear a suit every day. if possible, give names of companies. working at home is not an option.

I can transfer my office skills. I was wondering what would be the most effective manner in walking office to office one day and dropping off my resumes.. is there a good technique that actually would get hiring managers to admire one's courage to do such a thing? I've tried doing this once when I was a recent college grad, but I never received a call back for an interview. Basically, I, dressed up in a suit, walked from office to office and provided receptionists my resume.

It's a really trying time, financially, as I have a steady stream of bills sent my way, and having a tougher time paying them. So, the sooner I can land work, the better.

My apartment complex (in California) is forcing their tenents to purchase rental insurance. They will not renew your lease without proof of renters insurance. Is this legal? I know that it is a good idea to have rental insurance, but I am curious if you can legally be forced to buy it.

is it an exoense to make an offer on a house or does it cost you or realtor any money? Do you have anything to lose other then just getting a no for an answer?and also how much is it even worth asking them to go down, I know that most people usually price a little higher then what they expect to sell for for negotiating purposes, but how much?

If you wanted to own a business that was fun to run but most importantly profitable what type of business would you own? Lets say you are in a large town with a lots of established shops and big department stores. Would you go for something needed, even though there are other businesses to meet those needs or something different, so there wasn't too much competitiion but less demand for the product? Would you sell product or provide service or both?

I recently staring having a problem with my employer. I have been puttin in extra hours for about the last month, about 30 extra hours a check. We started a job about 1 and a half hours away from town and my emploryer doesnt want to pay me for the ride there. Normally I would just tough it out, but I have recently had a baby with my wife and my time is needed elsewhere if i'm not being paid. I told my boss I am getting paid for the drive or i'm quitting, and he kinda pissed around about answering me but finnaly just stpped complaining and excepted it, or so i thought. My last two checks have been short on hours, and when i requested my clock times i noticed they have been altered. With no proof myself of whats going on, but i know its true. What should, or can i do?

I have 62 days to go before I am fully vested (5 year) in my company's 401K. I want to leave this company as soon as I can. Usually the job openings in my field pick up after Labor Day so that seemed like it would all work out. But I am seeing some good job options right now. I'm afraid if I don't apply for these jobs right now I'll miss out by 10/1/06. Should I just go apply and blow off the last year of my company's match? We're talking about $6000.00 less if I leave before 10/1............perplexed

I am asking for a friend, NOT MYSELF. Thank God I have never been unemployed. My good friend needs to know what to expect. A company she used to work for is auditing her because they suspect she received benefits after finding full time work, which she did. What is this process like and what should she expect and what is the worse that could happen? She shouldn't have done this and she knows, but she was unemployed for about 14 months and didn't feel secure for a while. Not excusable but there is a reason. Thank you so much for the answers. Peace.

Someone at work is always violating procedures, and it irritates me that she gets away with it so much. Should I tell on this person?

Personally I'd like to do the task the way the violator is doing it, but our supervisor has made it abundantly clear this is not the way she wants it done.
