I guess depend on which company/country you are interested. I've been F/A for 8yrs in Canada and overall it's great job. I love lifestyle, job, free dome! it's too bad nowadays company don't care much customer service like good food, enough manpower... but you try your best to make passenger's time memorable!! oh, my training with 1stcompany was 9wks and 2nd company (they bought 1st company) was 6wks. It's not easy mentally and exam everyweek but it's worth it!!Go for it!!!! good luck!

Look sweetie, i think a flight attendent is a terrible job.
The Occupational Handbook has this to say: "Median annual earnings of flight attendants were $43,440 in May 2004. The middle 50 percent earned between $31,310 and $67,590. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $23,450, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $95,850. According to data from the Association of Flight Attendants, beginning attendants had median earnings of about $15,552 a year in 2004. Beginning pay scales for flight attendants vary by carrier.
Also think about your health. Non filtered air, people with colds, annoying people ugh. i would think od=f a more plausible job like a surgen . In 2005 the median salary was 190,000!
