I am trying to refinance my home equity loan. Each time I try to call a lender, they all want to run my credit report which I understand because that is the only way to check my FICO, debt ratio and etc. But, won't it affect my credit score? I had 4 lenders checked my credit report already. Pls help.

If you submit a request to a brokerage firm to distribute your IRA, are they required to provide the funds within any specific time? I have been messing around with Ameritrade for 3 weeks now. They estimate it will be another 3 to 7 days before they can transfer the funds to my bank account. Does the FTC regulate this matter?

I am working for a company that is paying me $10,000 less than the low end of the industry average. I want to ask for a raise. My salary review is 2 months away, but I would prefer to ask sooner. That way, if they say no, I can give notice and have more of the summer to look for another job. Plus, waiting just means 2 more months of working for peanuts. What should I do?

I'm pondering if i should apply for this county job. I already know what they want, : KNOW MIcrosoft office, be good at speaking, have social skills, be able to communicate WITH PUBLIC ( the place is kind of in downtown and gets alot of visitors)well and explain procedures, and even lift boxes (bend KNEES)from time to time for filing etc..Well i already feel like i can't do much of that. I know microsoft office but not advanced.. can communicate but i make a lot of mistakes and i'm generally quiet.. i have knee problems also. But not only my parents, but the a person at the Unemployment office who gave me some advice, he also said i should try that. Worth it, knowing my weaknesses?

A well paid supreme court justice earns about one hundred thousand dollars a year. A goofball like Judge Judy gets paid over eight million dollars a year.
