I am a social worker and I plan to start a business composing homestudies. Homestudies are written reports on the ability or inability of a person or couple to become foster or adoptive parents. The process of completing a homestudy includes the prospective person(s) filling out my extensive questionnaire, a home visit and criminal and child abuse history checks.

The name needs to be something related to children, families, homes, etc. and be friendly and catchy.

Thanks in advance!

Recently my daughter caught my neighbor stabbing our above ground swimming pool, and our trampoline. When he seen her looking out the window, he jumped the fence, and ran through his back gate. The police state in the report that the wife, and husband had two different stories when they talked to them as to his whereabouts, and the neighbor was very nervous, and sweating... In short, the police didn't believe him. Anyway, the insurance company gave us 1800 dollars, and wanted a copy of the police report so they can take the neighbor to court. Will they really do this, and what usually happens if, and when they do?

We signed a 2 year-commercial lease a couple of months ago. Our business is not doing well; and need to void the contract. Our landlord refuses to negotiate. Our contract do not have a termination clause. We do not want to be sent to collection or else; but we wont be able to keep up with our rent till the end of the lease.

I'm considering taking a loan with this online company called the Spherion Group. My options are to have a co-signer (I do not) or to purchase insurance for $1,600 (this is refundable). It all seems reasonable...I'm just not sure if they are for real. Has anyone else had any experiences with this financial institution? Please let me know. I am desperate...yet want to make a wise decision.

Thanks!!

I'm heavily invested in gold miner stocks, which should shelter from some of the carnage but tomorrow should be more market wide pain.

With everything the way it is, whats going to happen in the market tomorrow? Particularly what will have so the Primary Metals -> Gold industry?

My cousin is co-running a music festival in a couple of weeks. He offered me a job as a dunking booth vendor and possibly other odd jobs at it and really good pay that he says can probably be in cash and up front. I have had a lot of trouble getting a job and now I really need and want one and this seems like almost a guarantee and not a very difficult job. However, there a couple of things going against me. First, my mother does not really trust my cousin that much because he has been known to have a lack of responsability, maturity, intelligence, and commitment. It would also mean being away from the house for at least a few days with just him and otherwise people I've never met. The other thing is that I know he smokes, drinks, and at least has done drugs in the past sometimes heavily and I'd rather not get involved in any of that being around him and people he knows or anyone else who may be doing them. So now I'm just looking for some opinions about this.

I called customer service but they came up with some bullshit excuse that I didn't make the payment on time.

First of all, I made a payment on 6/05 to cover the bill due at the 10th. Then made another payment on 6/14 to cover the bill for the upcoming bill since I was going on vacation to Mexico...now that I'm back I see this late payment...what should I do what are my rights?
