My husband has alot of debt from before we were married and so do I. He filed bankruptcy about 3 years ago (we've been married two years). I've never filed and have quite a bit of debt as well. Can I file for both of us? We're having such a hard time finding a place to live! Any tips on how to rent or buy with bad credit? Thanks!

I interviewed at the local Humane Society today for an Education Director position. The salary that they offered me is $25,000 a year. It is a salaried job, not hourly. They told me to think about the offer and get back with them if I had a different number in mind. This is a new position that they are creating, so I don't have many resources to go to in order to check if it's a fair amount. Full insurance is included, and they said there would be raises (although I don't know how frequently and what amount). Can someone tell if this is a fair salary, and if not what my counteroffer should be. Thanks so much!

I looked up his license and it says its suspended but not because of child support issues, but because he didnt renew his bond. Is it possible to not be able to renew bond but keep your contractors license? im confused....

alright here is the deal. I am a 13 year old inventor, i have shown all of my inventions and ideas to my friends, family, teachers, and even random people. The good thing is every single one liked all of them. I have different types of inventions some include gadgets, imrovements to current items, and even buisness idea's. I know that you can get a patent but they are too expensive for my budget ($200). I want to a place or somone in illinois that would possibly be intrested in some of my ideas. I am a very determend person and work hard every day.

I have been at this job for a year and a half as a temp. Work has started to slow down. For the past two weeks i have not even made 40 hours. I worked this Monday but didn't go to work yesterday and today. My supervisor did not call me Tuesday to work today. I had a funny feeling so i drove to my job to see other temps cars in the parking lot. They are a work and I'm not. I'm one of his best workers. I want to quick this job but if i do i won't get my unemployment. Little things like this makes me believe someone at the job is conspiriaring to keep me from working. What should i do? I need to work to save up some money to look for another job but i don't know how long i can keep working there. The job has a lot of jealous females, back stabbing, favoritism, and *** kissing from both the pernament workers and the temps. I am upset right now. If someone offered me another job paying more than 6.50 an hour i would'nt hasitate to take it. Please offer some type of advice for me!

My bank was bought out by another bank. The new entity claims that rules regarding my IRA are no longer valid. Specifically, there will be interest penalties for moving my IRA to a different institution when there were no penalties in the previous agreement. What takes precedence, the existing contract or the new rules? I signed no agreements after the merger/buyout.

On their website when I look at their comparisons to other companies I see a great bit of difference. Scottrade looks like they are better. They have $7 commissions and only need $500 to open an account.

I don't know what options and margins are. Can someone enlighten me on that. I want to buy Vanguard funds and Scottrade offers a better deal for that.

However to get the business name, papers, etc in line as far as the legality to sell to stores goes I need a little more cash. Does anyone know if you can make so much($$) as an individual before it counts as an actual business? If so what might that $ amount be? I am operating in Texas.

"Live Settlement" and "Viaticals" have received a lot of bad press, but the LS seems like a good deal to me when you are over 65 and wanting to shift financial resources to long term care risks and not death risks. I can’t find a good balanced discussion of LS as they are usually "sales" promos or obviously anti LS and Viatical materials. If you don’t need the death risk insurance, make sense to me if the policy can be converted into cash. Does anyone know of any balanced sources of information?

I want to be a registered nurse. I am going to go to college for 2 years for an associate degree in nursing. I would really love to work with the newborns and mothers. I do not know what hours I would have to work, and what kind of nurse would I be? Do registered nurses work in different fields? I know I want to work with people, take care of people, and learn about health. I am just confused about some aspects of nursing and what I want to do in nursing! Help me out as much as you can! Thank you!

I'm 30 and just got my credit score up to the mid 70's after 8 years of hard work. (college credit cards destroyed my history) I only have college loans showing on my report of 23k which are in good standing for 3 years now. I've applied for a cap1 card and am waiting to get approval to improve upon it by paying the bill every month. Do any of you use capital one? If they approve me for the platinum, afer how many months of being a "good credit card user" can i apply for a higher limit?

I work at a store in a customer service department which stays fairly busy and I am like many people overworked. I work 6 hours without a break or lunch. I don't need a lunch but would like to have a break but there is a note posted in the break room that there is no law that says I must have a break and I cannot go if my area is not covered. I never get a break and sometimes get thirsty or hungry or just need to sit down but I never get to because there isn't one person in the store that can cover my department. I can't have a drink or a snack in my work center either. If I just go and take a break and someone comes in for service or if the spy shopper comes in, I could get written up and fired so I end up working nonstop. The manager will not cover for me either. I just get fed up as it seems every job I get, I can't have a break.
